I made a video about 8 months ago showing how to nudge curbs with a fender. This time around, I'll show you how to get your curb nudges to a high percentage without a fender.
after 2000 miles and being able to land over 95% of my curb nudges, this is hands down the best and most useful curb nudge turorial. It didnt really make sense at first, but after you land it and it clicks it all makes sense. Ride on brother
nice video man. I can't wait to try this again. I was doing it 4 days ago without much success. I'm going to try it with bent knees and cranking my front knee in to help the nudge be more sideways than down.
I have not been able to succeed at this except for a handful of times over 2 years. This video breaks it down really well and now I am intent on giving it another good try with my new knowledge. Thanks!
I used to suck at curb nudges. After watching this video and absorbing the information, I got it first try last night. Thanks for the awesome videos you post, especially the tire stuff. If it weren't for your videos, I'd still be riding a Vega :D
Found this video very helpful! Previous thought was to lean forward and hop, hoping the tire would lift the board up. But it definitely makes more sense to keep your weight over the tire and “shove” the board forward. Thanks! 🙌🏼
Dude. I just hit 6 months on my OW+, I remember watching all your vids when I first got my board. Now over the last few weeks, I've been re-watching all your content with a new appreciation for the knowledge they provide. You have been so far ahead of the curve on nearly every aspect of OW, it's nothing short of amazing. Also the fact that you don't just have tutorials on stuff, but you have updated your tutorials like this one and your new tire-swap video... I just needed to say THANK YOU! You are seriously one of the gurus of the community, and to see you nail this one-time was so fucking sick, it's inspiring really. Mad respect from HI. FLOAT ON!!
Dude I was thinking about this the other night and doing the motion upside down in my bed because I'm a lunatic. But then the next day I totally nailed it. Thank you homes.
Thanks Jeff--I've used your method and figured it out, but have exactly the success rate issues you described on bigger curbs. Is the XR nose bumper beefier as well, causing more difficulty in creating the proper leverage point? I think so, and I think you can mod it to use the Plus bumpers, but have to break warranty to do so.
Troy Hendrick I actually drilled two holes into a front plate for the plus and mounted it to my board without breaking the warranty sticker. I'm not sure of how much different it is with an xr plate
So I have question, what happens to your back leg when your front leg is bent and ready to slide? Do you jump with back leg or just ride along with one wheel?
You can do it in all modes, but Delirium brings more difficulty because it brakes harder, so if you're not coming in fast enough on big curbs it could brake to a halt before you make it over.
Been trying this all yesterday. Exactly my issue was I was just stalling on to front of the board while the wheel just spun going to take some of your advice. Check us out @onewheelcharlotte on Instagram
