If pint x had XR pushback and custom shaping it would be waaaaay better than the GT... That's why they dont have it for pint x because they want you to buy the expensive board...Wich is sad
They should apply custom shaping to the Pint X. I don't see that cannibalizing sales of the GT. The GT is still more capable and a bigger platform. Very much a different board
The only thing I find unfortunate, being a Onewheel enthusiast, is that since the release of the GT, it's as if you have forgotten all your previous boards and nothing else exists. Your updates are made solely for the GT, there is nothing left for us who own an XR, which is quite sad.😢
We couldn't be more stoked on how this turned out. Shout out to all those who patiently waited for this game-changing firmware, we appreciate each and every one of you. A huge thank you to all of the professional riders that provided essential feedback to help make this what it is. We can't wait for all y'all start shaping the future. ***Comment below with what you're most excited about!***
Will custom shaping 3.0 be coming to pint x? Or are you guys just mainly focused on the GT? Feels like you guys have just mainly been focused on the GT and while I think it’s a good idea but please don’t forget about your mid grade riders 🫡
I started the update, got through the video/slideshow about buzzes, still had to update, it froze in the 40% zone for 10+minutes, so I exited the app, shut the board, restarted everything. Now I've attempted the firmware update 4 more times alwasy getting to the end and it tells me it failed and to try again. THIS SUCKS, HELP ME PLEASE
Both the shaping and the new Haptic Buzz sound awesome! I'm actually quite impressed that you guys managed to pull off that haptic buzz feature purely through firmware updates. I just updated my GT without issue and briefly tried out the new single zone sensor pad engagement (which is definitely the feature I am most excited about). Ever since the updated GT footpads came out I was having a little bit harder time getting my board to engage 100% of the time, and so far the single zone engagement seems to totally fix this for me. Awesome!
Thank you so much guys! I race Clydesdale and now the board feels so much more powerful down low, and wow the ability to customize is incredible. Great job!
I find it totally disrespectful that they only release firmware updates for GT and not for Pint X. I hope Future Motion is not discriminating against Pint X. I'm glad GT users get updates but those updates are needed by Pint X users as well. 😕👍
Please - oh -please - let us have the ability to turn off Haptic Buzz. We just want the ability to turn it off and on - and having 1,000 miles minimum sounds good. Requiring being a ORL racer - that is a deceitful strategy that is duping people into accepting the upgrade. We thought we could turn it off. I like to turn it on during street rides, and turn it off when on Trail. Trail riding is the real issue - everytime I bonk a branch at 5mph - QUACK. Hit a few logs in a row -QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK.
Thank you, Future Motion! One year ago, I discovered the incredible One Wheel, and since then, it has brought me so much joy. On a side note, I used to be an avid mountain biker, but I've realized that I haven't been riding as much lately.😮
Just getting my board back from your factory today from repairs. So stoked to finally be able to ride again and with CUSTOM SHAPING. I’ve been waiting so long for this.
Hey, guys, it would be awesome if you guys added a feature to share your custom shapings to the cloud like segments, so people can test each other's tunes.
I updated today. The first update attempt got to like 15 minutes in, 99% complete, and like 10 seconds from being complete and the update was lost. At that point I was a bit nervous. I was instructed by the app to try again and the light bar was showing the rainbow lights I had heard about so I was wondering a bit, since I couldn't get the regular light bar to come back. I think I tried the second attempt with the light bar in the rainbow state and I think it seemed to pick up the update with only 8 minutes needed to finish. 8 minutes later it completed the update. The update is really nice! I feel like the stance profile is really great to get dialed in for each base shape. I only ride streets, so I think nose up or left alone is the only way I will set most of the stances for the different base shapes since I am never really worried about tail drag or anything on the streets, although I guess I could lower the nose on Elevated (which I tend to never use) and test that overall ride feel out someday. This seems like such a worthwhile profile to be able to adjust since each rider is so different from the next when you factor in their weight, or the type of riding they do, etc. And the aggressiveness profile and the dynamic responsiveness profile each seemed very nice to adjust as well. First time out today, I enjoyed Flow (which I have not ridden in maybe almost a year after having ridden it a good bit in the summer of 2022) with a nose that was maybe at plus 1. And that was all I changed for Flow and enjoyed its feel. I liked Apex (which is what I have ridden for the past year it seems) dialed so that the nose was dialed up to a .5 or 1; aggressiveness dialed all the way up (also it seemed the advanced setting of aggressiveness was already dialed all the way up at each of the four stages of speed so I adjusted that graph a little bit but then returned it to all four speed stages dialed up); dynamic responsiveness dialed as tight as possible; and the yaw mix rate was dialed to the fastest. I am less sure yet about adjusting the roll and yaw for a given base shape and feeling the difference but I am sure if it is worth noting I will catch on as time goes by. My hunch is for my riding preference, and hearing Kyle explain both settings, I am going to like roll and yaw mix rate set to the default or both dialed up, but I will have to see how that feels while riding, when partnered with whatever base shape I am in and all the other settings factored in. I didn't make any custom shaping presets but I am interested to see if next time when I go for a ride if it saved the modes for Apex and Flow the way I left those two modes by the time I stopped riding today. Each time I slid back and forth to each mode while out riding, it had saved each customization I had made, so I am assuming they will be saved for next ride too. Adjusting the settings in just the two modes that I customized today was a lot of fun and had me thinking more than I had in a while about how the Onewheel was riding, which was a lot of fun. I only usually ever hit about 16 to 18 mph max speed on my rides, so I never felt the haptic buzz while regularly riding around today. But I changed the mode to Bay mode for a couple minutes today in an attempt to hear and feel the haptic buzz a few times just to see what that was like. The buzz wasn't all that obnoxious like I thought it may be, but it did instantly get my attention. Back in Flow and Apex, I think I may have felt haptic buzz briefly a few times while quick stopping, if I'm not mistaken. But it seemed basically like nothing since stopping happens so fast. I live on a hill that I think, if I remember right, is about 15 percent slope (8 or 9 degrees on my phone app), and I did not get any haptic buzz while climbing, so I was happy about that. I am about 150lbs and climb it, I am guessing, at only about 5 to 7 mph max speed.
Did the update, took roughly 15 minutes. Just left the phone near the GT. Make sure to update your app first, then connect to your GT and it will prompt for the firmware update. Very cool that you start with what you like, in my case FLOW, and then Custom it from there. Easy to take back to default. Because I have Lightning rails, just like there are those that have WTF, 357, etc YES you can lift the nose in each mode. You can decide lift of the nose in a turn. Yaw. Roll. How aggressive the acceleration and how fast you want to brake. Lots and lots to play with. Thank you FM for getting things figured out with the safety side, now I am looking forward to what you have coming now that this road block is down. All the things people asked for like Posi pad, delays, lots of features that had to be done through hardware and software hacks, are now baked in. Just had a short ride but already am thinking of little adjustments I will make to allow me to shape to my own liking and for different circumstances. Want more acceleration in FLOW...easy. Make it a little sloppier in APEX. They listened. Great way to learn the features is this video. Easy to share custom shapes with others as well. Enjoy the weekend.
I haven’t even played with the custom shaping, but I feel as though I have more power now after this update, and I am much more willing to push the board to its limit with the haptic feedback. This update is AWESOME! Thank you Onewheel!!
I am an “older” skateboarder. Have been skateboarding in my youth for 10-15 years straight. Was very good back then. I still skateboard but not as often of course. Have been doing other things as well. I am 44 years old now and have been onewheeling for more then 2 years and made more then 3 miles now on it. I had a pint, xr and now I have a GT. My point is, give FM some slack. They have been trying hard to get this right and functional for everyone from the start. Onewheeling is still new and it needs more time to develop! I think that FM is making great things and I am looking foreward to the future of this new and exciting board sport! For me, everything is great. Whatever comes out from the onewheel community. new brands, new sistems, whatever. All is good and needed for progression of onewheeling. The sport and community are growing and developing. It reminds me of early 90’s when skateboarding transitioned from vert and pool skating to street. It was very exciting time, full of inovations, new brands and new directions of skateboarding in general. So, great work Future Motion! Custom shaping is amazing! And the buzz is of course needed for security and especially for the new riders. To keep everyone safe! I am looking foreward to everything you will do next!Keep it coming! Greetings from Croatia.. :)
Updated my firmware and board without any problems. There is a lot to digest, but I feel it is safer for me when I get over 20 mph. I can see where this upgrade can make me ride faster AND safer. This adds value to my board. Thanks Future Motion, well done.
“We just finished pint and pint x custom shaping where we’ve made it to where you can change the aggressive. I’m really glad we’ve come this far” one wheel in about 2 months
Really excited to try it out, now how do I unbrick my board because the firmware failed 4 times in a row? It won't even attempt to update it anymore, just flashes white.
THIS SUCKS, HELP ME PLEASE
will this firmware version come wave-style again? or will we be able to update at a later point? like ik in the past i’ve missed an update and was stuck with an older firmware
@@Onewheel hey guys me and lots of other people are having issues with this firmware update. We’ve done everything correctly and it just tells us that the firmware is corrupted and flashing a blue and yellow light bar. Please read some of your comments there’s lots of people having issues we would like to ride tomorrow but we can’t. This is an emergency.
