Was walking somebody through attempting to flash firmware on a 4165 yesterday and ReWheel wouldn't connect. Need to confirm myself as well, but it's not a positive sign. That said, ReWheel would really only come in handy for reverting to older firmware on some XRs. There are no firmware customizations available.

@@fixmypev it's strange that XR doesn't have any customizations. There are very few firmware differences between the Pint and the XR. I think the only reason is that the Rewheel developers don't have an XR to play with. All of the same customizations should port to the XR without much effort.

It's a combination of both the inability to provide ongoing support from the original developers and the potential legal risks that deter any further exploration. Without a dedicated team and the necessary resources, the customization possibilities for the XR (and even the Pint X) remain limited. It's a challenging situation given the potential benefits that could have been unlocked with continued development.

The IMU changed with 4210, so that is one thing that prevents it from running 4134. I remember someone got 4134 loaded onto their 4210 and it thought it was upside down. But maybe all they needed to do was run the nRF tilt to recalibrate that...

Really hope an XR to to be,rewheeled at least get a taste before you vesc haha

@@matix10104 I wouldn't recommend trying to find out. There's no genuine benefit gained in your position. Unless you want Haptic Buzz that badly.

Have you tried to ride the full range? Previous XR 4162 firmware did not allow more than 7ah of usage and your JWXR battery is 10.5ah.

Chi battery is confirming that the update acts like the previous 4162 XR firmware and limits the battery capacity to stock range.

My jw battery in a 4212 xr running Gemini 4165 And a FFM chip and I have seen no change in my average battery range

I think its not and that was his concern about update or not int this video.

It's obvious. Switch to Sequoia and you'll get buzzing at 14 mph. I've only had my XR for about a month and was using Cruz as my default but started getting haptic buzz especially going uphill or downhill so I've had to move to Mission and it's been fine. Only get buzz when trying to get up my driveway which is really steep and at the limit of what my XR can do.

I had two big crashes the first month. first an unexpected bump in the night literally watching the moon...I flew and broke my right writst....3 weeks later an unexpected crack the street. No broken bones but a lot of scraped skin. A LOT :) I was using Delirium. Its the most aggresive mode but not the safest...after that I switched to mission and my ride changed forever.

Mines not working anymore, my friends a onewheel doctor and he said I need to get a new BMS and get a stock battery and that might fix my 4209

The pint with the quart upgrades didnt brick, but they did lose the additional range. I imagine the CBXR will be the same

May have to cycle off and on on a ride.. ive had to do this in s few instances lately with a cbxr and also carrying a cbxr and byob on a regular board.. field charging i had to double cycle the other day for it to read the battery properly immediately after a field charge from the byob and external cbxr

What happens if you delete the OW all, download again, put flight mode on, turn BT on and run the app? Does it tell you to update the FW?

@@theob1712you can still do it on the OWCE app or manually turning your board on its side. Plenty of videos on how to do that.

@@theob1712if youre on iPhone you can disable internet before opening it, or even make a Shortcut to automate launching it

Is there a good way to revert? I sa fix my pev's video, and he said he had a previous backup of his firmware from before the update. Is that the only way you think? Cause I definitely don't have a backup😂😔

I agree with you. I really dislike the buzz. I might like it if we could set it to different levels of speed, and intensity

I don't experience any buzz during my regular usage (commute) except for very brief moments (going up a ramp too quickly), so I do appreciate it as a safety feature. That's on a Pint X though (and on pavement). On a regular Pint it would go off all the time (my personal preferred speed is around Pint's top speed), so would probably even annoy the f outta a slowpoke like me. (Both my regular Pints have dead BMS, so that's preventing me from finding out 😂) Point is, there *are* users and use cases where it's *not* bad. Generally speaking it is bad of course, because it can't be disabled or adjusted, so it will be a constant PITA to those riding top speed, offroad, etc. Also: since there is a very obvious buzz now, *why can't we disable pushback* (which can become a *hazard* when going downhill or maneuvering)???

they should add a test buzz button to actually know what is it about without pushing the limit.

@@TheFloatLife Yeah thats what I thought. So once you update your gt, there's no way to digitally level it outside the onewheel app?

It hasn't been 100% confirmed, but we believe it will not break the board, but it will reduce your range to stock

lol same here...tried to push limits to buzz it but buzz was not there. Maybe I ride in a safe zone but its hard to test because nobody wants to nosedive to see if is working

I agree, my board is riding smoother more quiet than before the update. Got up to 17 with no buzz. I didn't wanna go further as I'm still recovering from a 26mph nosedive a few weeks ago.
