I've been looking at the Onewind 11 ft zippered hammovk for a while so when they asked me to review it for them I of course said yes.
Overall I am very impressed with the comfort and quality of the product. It is great to see equipment becoming available in the U.K that has the right proprtions

I leave my straps attached and use a carabiner to clip the strap around the tree. This way I can store everything in the bishop bag/ stuff sack. I also attach a length of cordage to the bugnet zippers to make opening and closing netting easier. Good hammock. I own several Onewind hammocks and am very happy with them. Good quality ,comfortable and very affordable.

A few things. If you tie your tree huger strap a foot higher than your head end it will help you stay closer to your head end. Tie some colored tell tail on the head end of your hammock to help with set up. You can use beaners or soft shackles ad to your tree straps so you can walk from one tree to the other and keep your suspension still attached to the hammock. :)

I like the ease of strapping one side and then walking to the other end while stretching the hammock. Ticket to the moon does it beautifully. Personally I set up a tarp Ridgeline first thing, so I hang my hammock from it, among other things, while i set up camp. Started doin that out of necessity (rain), but ended up being my go-to. It's nice having a separate Ridgeline for a mosquito net and gear in the summertime, and necessary for a proper tarp setup in the winter (the farthest away from the hammock the less condensation drips onto you), and year round you can use a small footprint, strapped to the Ridgeline to hang your gear, which doubles as a windbreaker and splash guard.

After about 2 years of the hammock rabbit hole and hundreds spend. Number one choice is onewind 11 foot zipper hammock double layer. Were i am the biting bugs are bad. As go for two bottom layers for versatility. Pad no pad underquilt or not . Net or not. Just about the best piece of kit i own. Cheers mate great video.

I've got the 11ft double hammock version and it's a lush lay indeed. One of my favourite things about this hammock is the ease of deploying/packing the hammock from its sack, which makes it easy for Hammockteurs (Hammock Amateurs) like me. Other than the under blanket, I also bought the poncho quilt which is also good for the price.

I have the Onewind 12 ft double wide with bottom entry mosquito netting and it's perfect. I can get an almost perfectly flat lay @ 35° diagonal, and a decent side lay. I'm in mine almost every day. Only take it down (I leave the straps up & have a second set) when I camp in the State Parks. I just need the underquilt

You can use most 3x3 bushcraft tarps over a proper 11-foot hammock with a 108”-110” fixed ridgeline by pitching them asymmetrically; depending upon whether your diagonal lay in the hammock is head right or head left, rotate the fly off the diagonal by one tie-out position, attach these loops to the ridgeline, and then guy out the four corners to give you a generous asym pitch with “storm flaps” to keep the long edges of the hammock dry in all but the worst conditions. On a square tarp with three equally spaced intermediate tie-outs per edge, your ridgeline tieouts will be 132”-134” apart using this pitch-right around 11 feet-which is perfect for getting a nice low storm pitch over a hammock with the aforementioned fixed ridgeline length.

I've been through a 9.5 ft Snugpak Jungle Hammock, 11 ft Mallow double wide, and now I've got the 12 ft double wide Onewind, $74.00 U.S. The Onewind is damn near perfect. It has the "through the bottom" mosquito netting which is great for southern USA because the mozzies here will bite your arse... I can get an extremely comfortable 40° (ridgeline = 0°\360°) diagonal lay - (better than the others) I'm 5ft 8in. The hammock, top quilt, bottom quilt and 10x12ft tarp fit perfectly in the main compartment of my First Tactical Specialist half day rucksack. If I buy another hammock, it'll be the Onewind I have now !

I love my OneWind zippered hammock. I use Dutchware Clips on the end of the straps to attach to the tree. I also leave the straps attached to my hammock on each end and they stuff into the sack no problems.

I love my 11ft Onewind, same as yours. I don't use the shock chord to pull out the sides though. Get yourself the Onewind under quilt too! Mine has been ok under the 3x3 DD tarp as a diamond set up 👍🏼 Nice review kind sir!

I modified a synth bag as a pod system and having seen this I think I may be replacing my secondary hammock outer layer with this, the open cinching ends are just what's needed to work. Inside hammock>pod/bag>Airstream as outer layer and ofc tarpage as required 🤘 Looks like this is my belated bday gift to myself haha! Cracking review Nobby, keep 'er shinyside up marra.

Hey dude. Good review, I like mine but still can't get the set up perfect... I pissed about with internal ridgeline that's why!! also hated the bug net in my face so used the bungee cord but... at the end of the hammock, might try re attaching and going out from tbe middle as I found it tight on my shoulders but I had a shed load of material gathered up!!

Set the ridgeline at 83 - 87% of length of the hammock Lee. How did it compare to the G4Free? Sleep in a cap to keep net of your face pmsl

@@Nobby77 G4Free was 98% perfect!! DUNNO why I got a new one TBH... the G4Free just needed a better longer underblanket... might try the G4 with the Onewind blanket, didn't need to tie out the G4 either as the net was never in my face

How would you compare this to the DD xl frontline ? Awesome video as always 👍
@nobbysnononsensegearreview8057
Never kipper in the xl mate, the spreader poles would keep the net off your face more in the DD but I think this has better dimensions and the adjustable ridgeline is a winner. Pretty sure weight and pack size favour the onewind aswell. I have the large TW Hornet which compares to the xl in size but without the poles and this is a more comfortable hang than that

You can always fit an underquilt to a basic shaped hammock. Tukeke have their hammocks on sale just now - 12 foot under £5.50 each, been using their 11 foot ones for years, totally dependable. Just the basic hammock, but I’ve already made my bugnets, and have my down underquilts, etc. Mar 10 2024

That's a lot of stretch when you get in, I like my hammock more firm than that.

Tbf this is the first run out for it so stretch is expected, after initial use it far more consistent
