I was unsure about my decision since I already have an OG Ally, but this Legion Go has been the best purchase I've made in a long time. This thing is amazing. Selling my Ally, no regerts.
@@Cadillacfrank94 I don't blame ya lol The Go has personality in a way the Steam Dexk using Linux does, but Ally never stood out to me, something like how the Claw (even though better than the Claw) is kinda generic windows machine , but The Go is special
Got a Legion Go with a folding bluetooth keyboard with touchpad. The keyboard fits into the Go's case for when I need it. The two combined are cheaper than the X1 and the Go is still way more portable. Only thing the Go needs is a better battery.
i also got the intel one....was very disappointed....with a few updates on the graphics driver it is okay now, but considering the price and the crappy controller it is a major disappointment on my side...
I want that ONEXPLAYER X1 AMD version but the last time I bought an imported device (AOKZOE A1 Pro), the LT trigger started to malfunction after three months of ownership. 🤔😔 But that X1 is calling my name. 😂
@@Nightwing168 I only have the older 6800u version. I made a few videos on it back in the day. It's definitely nice, but nothing stands out to me so I never felt the need to upgrade. 🤷🏾♂️ Kun is my 8.4in device of choice
I bought both and altough the legion go has a very nice finish I used my X1 a lot more so returned the legion go. Only thing I didn't like about the X1 is the controllers are so light they feel cheap even thought they arent and mine didn't come with the hall effect sticks so I ordered those separately and I feel like those feel a little better, like sticks a little tighter, and buttons more clicks responsive. I feel like there's a slight difference but idk could just be newer controllers even though my older ones are only 2 weeks old. Over all I'm very happy with my X1 and glad I got a legion go also to compared both and make a real decision and not feel bad.
Controllers are much lighter than legion because there’s no battery inside so I get what you’re saying. They don’t really feel cheap in the materials, but the weight throws you off
@@BarelyAverageDude yeah no batteries no Wireless transmitters not that stuff so they are a lot lighter. The sticks too don't really have a lot of tension Sophia used to like an Xbox controller they're going to feel really light. But the new hall effect ones that I ordered do you feel a lot better than the ones that I came with I don't think there's really a difference but everything just feels more crisp and tight and the sticks feel like they do have slightly more tension than the sticks that it came with
@@Cerealkiller824 I have three pairs at this point, 2 Hall effect and one regular they all feel similar but it could be slightly more tension. I’m not sure. Could be a placebo, I can’t tell 😅🤷🏽♂️
I gotta ask if the fans ever get kinda up there in noise? I know fans running at full speed will produce a little higher pitch noise but just wanna now if it's like louder than say the legion go was or for me I'd compare to a switch since that's my last handheld.
You know I would love to own an Ayaneo Onexplayer or Aokzoe, but the repair support is terrible from what I heard. If any of those devices were available at Best Buy, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one 32GB RAM, which is a great start for me. I've seen Best Buy selling the Ayaeno Kun, but it's a 16GB RAM. If they ever get the 32GB version, I will sell my legion go and rog ally x to buy it. Such devices will be a life changer.
Repairs are definitely questionable if you're outside of China. But in my experience support will usually send you parts for free or low cost if you are up to repair it yourself.
Love the review have both devices, one thing that the Legion Go could really use is 32GB of RAM 16 just isn't enough for these device, picked out the top spec'd X1 and really like the 64GB of RAM, since I use it for work and play it's worth the price.
I don't understand why the x1 has removable joysticks, just to become a tablet!? They should really put batteries on them, with the weight the x1 has, would be a plus!
@@BarelyAverageDude so the conector works like a battery and they work detached from x1? Also the 32 GB on the x1 and 24 on ally x seems to don't improve all that much FPS in games, but should help on games boot, because with 32 you can provide the Max 6 to gpu and all games depending ON big memory should boot fine, without adjusts needed, right?
@@joaocspcosta yes it works as a battery and transmitter for the controllers. With 32gb RAM you can set more than 6 to VRAM; I have 10gb on my X1 It helps with stability in graphical games not really more max FPS
Another great video! I have my X1 8840U on the way this week. Can you do a comparison video having the X1 go up against the Win Max 2? I have the Win Max 2 and soon the X1 curious to hear your thoughts.
Definitely good enough for productivity and general computer tasks. I’ve typed full documents using the keyboard with no issues. The trackpad isn’t as good as a real laptop but it’s definitely usable and gets the job done.
Brother how’s comes you haven’t compared the onexplayerx1 vs rog ally x. These are the two best gaming handhelds. Legion go is not great it loses at every performance test you do so not sure why we are comparing the legion to onexplayer
Limiting the Legion Go to 4C /8T in the BIOS will fix most power issues AND give it more headroom in both power and temps for the GPU side of things. Also disabling the CPU Turbo boost. Fact of the matter is that these CPUs are so strong, that at no point will they ever "CPU limit" the Radeon 780M's performance.
I feel like the go can replace a laptop you a better keyboard with money you saved it can be a desktop pc, a tiny tablet that's game hardcore a handheld that more comfortably in the hand it was the have c ports on bottom or top it be joycon style then you have fps mode
I have the Legion go, i dont think 10 inch comfortable to be a handheld + i dont think 5 to 7 frames will make me to choose the X1 Am sticking with the Go
@@cory2016 it always depends who's counting. Go definitely has a wider market, but the 3-in-1 X1 is unlike anything else. It's unmatched for a specific person.
I like the oneXplayer but I purposely got out a rid of my OneXplayer 2 pro because the company never update the device like how they're supposed to roll it out and update it like their software and the drivers like they suck on that and they suck on communication when you try to get in contact with them about that problem so that's why I got rid of it because it wasn't worth it and I only had it for like 3 or 2 months then I sold it so I stick with my Legion go because I guess it was my best bet....... Oh yeah and I left out like if you try to put different drivers on it not the drivers that they have set up or do anything like any workarounds or whatever like any new scripts to fix the situation with the onexplayer any oneXplayer devices then it starts messing up it starts tripping out it starts acting up so yeah it's just not worth it
Not sure what issue you were having with your device, but the drivers come straight from AMD and I’ve had no issue updating the drivers across multiple AMD updates. The device may have been defective because you shouldn’t need any scripts or custom drivers for the graphics.
@@BarelyAverageDude My boys attack and me and him were trying to fix things on it to make it run better without depending on one X player company and All the crap that they have on their websites are not good but maybe because that's a new device and you're downloading new drivers stuff like that and they're fixing them now finally is because they're trying to get rid of those devices that you guys have purchasing from them That's probably why hence the whole reason why you're not having that problem but I did before in the past with the oneXplayer 2 pro
@@BarelyAverageDude and also as far as it goes with like the scripts and stuff I just needed those for like customizing the performance in the TDP and all that stuff so that's why I did that purposely but also like I said because they just didn't have nothing updated like they were slacking on all of that but of course they're going to go ahead like I said before start updating all of their stuff due to the fact that they're trying to sell these new devices they're releasing All these companies always do that
@@BarelyAverageDude I mean I was interested in getting that device but I got to stop buying these type of handheld PCs and stuff I sold a bunch of them already and I just stick with my legion go and my mini PC from Miniforum but yeah your lucky you got that device that device is awesome it seems great 👍..... But I say my next investment will be at EGPU I'm going to build one myself with oculink and thunderbolt 4 I'll probably make a video on that sooner or later when I get everything all together
You forgot to compare the output speaker My Man!! We want to know how good the tunning of Harman in X1, is it really noticable or not really?🎤🎤🎤 And which one have the best speaker output, is it the X1 or still the ROG Ally White?🥇🥇🥇 (This is can be your next content My Man💪)
@@BarelyAverageDude Hahaha okay so tunning of Harman in X1 still couldn't beat the ROG Ally output speaker, I really glad to know that due to I still keep my white ally until know. Thanks Man for your information, really appreciated.
Ally X has slightly better performance but imo the Legion go is slightly more ergonomic with the larger grip. If you live near a Best Buy you should go get hands on with them. There’s usually a display unit you can hold.
@@loitersquadXit definitely makes a difference, but it depends what games you play and how you play them. When you say plugged in, do you meanto power or like an external monitor?
Legion maybe for PC. But not in the sales market and one of the most expensive. To me it still lacks what a Switch or Razer Edge 5G or G Cloud can do and offer.
@@thesilverpittie9632 Not sure how $1100 is 2x $750, but yeah it’s more expensive. It’s only 60g heavier than the Legion go, far from unmanageable IMO. Plus X1 is a 3-in-1, laptop is just 1-in-1 😅🤷🏽♂️ I’m not trying to sell the X1, but I think “just get a laptop” is a bad argument because laptops are WAY heavier and they don’t have the versatility of being a handheld if you want to.
@BarelyAverageDude I said almost and I bought a new 512gb for 600 and 25 for a 512gd sd card. And the size makes it nearly the same size as a laptop or bigger with the goofy looking controllers on it, looks like they said cut an Xbox controller in half and glue it to the sides. No real imagination or thought into it.
@@thesilverpittie9632I admit that it does look strange, but it’s impossible to not look weird with such a large screen. You couldn’t have a controller that’s 8in long to cover the entire side. 😅 It looks like an Xbox controller because they have a connector that turns it into a full wireless controller.
Time for onexplayer to hang it up. This design is garbage 😂. Im still salty after i bought the 1S and it had compatibility issues due to the intel chip. Then i check back and theyre doing this
