Good review. This is a few years old now but still way better than Onkyo's new range of mid-range receivers. I am looking at buying one that has no display lights, which is easy fixed with a 40ohm resistor for $200 Australian. I have used Onkyo for 25 years because I just love the sound quality!
Thank you so much for nice comment my friend. Yes Onkyo is very good. This was a few years ago the top of Onkyo's reciwere. Was just a model above this one. I had it for many years. Then there was something wrong. I got it repaired for free because it was under 5 years old. 4 years and 8 months. I was lucky. Another thing was Hdmi who did not support the latest releases. So I sold it. I bought the Denon 3400 Reciver. Along with a 65 inch Samsung 4K in the 7 series. Subwoofer from Klipsh R112. 7 speakers from Dali. 7.1 A system I am happy with.
@@teknofil007 That is a very nice home theater setup. The 65" 4K tv is really big enough for most. I came from plasma, so a huge difference. I only noticed now that the Onkyo TX-SR1010 has 4K upscaling, not 4K pass through but there is way's around that problem. I have it setup now and I have four JBL Cabaret 4628b's for my main speakers running only in 2 channel mode with two JBL Control 10 subwoofers either side in stereo. I am in audiophile nirvana and I can die now a very happy man
I am hoping that Onkyo offers a firmware upgrade to dts-x with an acceptable fee this summer. It seems like every time I upgrade my Onkyo it becomes obsolete very quickly. I have been an Onkyo customer for 25 years! I even stayed after all the HDMI failures. I'm afraid to say if there is no firmware update for my tx-nr1030 I will be moving over to Denon since they are offering a dts-x firmware upgrade for an acceptable fee.
Hei, Yes I will try to make a video With this reciver in action. Its a fantastic one. I had many recivers from before but this one is a difrent class. Play Music very god. And film ofcourse. I use 7 speakers and 2 subbwofer. I will try to make a video soon .
What kind of receivers did u own? Please let me know when u do it I'm thinking upgraded but I'm torn between. Onkyo 1010 or Yamaha Red lots of good reviews as well please let me know Thanks. Albert
Before I own difrent Denon recivers. And Onkyo recivers. Last reciver was a Onkyo 808 or somthing. This 1010 had best in test in difrent magazin. I had Onkyo from before and was happy With it. Its a fantastic machine. Heavy. Be never hott. Play Music Perfect, sound is really Perfect. And film ofcourse. Onkyo is from Japan. Them be on marked long. Them are really god With recivers. I will try to make a video of my 1010. But It can take littel time from now 2 week. Thanks fore Nice comenth.
eric s. Quality of this reciver is fantastic. I read mutch Magazine and This Onkyo 1010 was best in test in a magazin called sound and Picture. I read this Magazine fore 20 years. Yes sound quality is really fantastic. Best reciwer I be into and from before I had Denon and Onkyo. I use 7 speakers and 2 subb. Its mutch Power in this one. Music film is very god, precis and Nice. I bouth bluthooth adapter to reciwer to so I can streame Music from phone or computer to reciwer. This Onkyo 1010 is fore real HiFi peopel whoo want god quality.
Yes I do. This is a very good reciwer. Quality. Onkyo and Denon is my favoritt in reciwer. This one was very exspencive when It come. I use It daily fore 3 years now. God sound!
BUZDRIFT Cheap? 18.000 kroner or 3.000 Us Dollar is not cheap. Its the moust exspencice reciwer I had. Yes 3030 coust littel moore. Onkyo 1010 do all the job I want from a reciwer and littel moore.
***** WOW 18.000 kroner, Here in AUS it's 2400US, Onkyo has the best receivers anyway. I'm gonna do a video soon on my 9.2.2 HT setup Dolby Atmos at home.

BUZDRIFT you might wanna know . If you plan on doing a 9.2 configuration. The new dsu upmixer wont work on the front wide channel. Ill be doing the 7.2.4 setup
