Just bought one for my kids' game TV. If you can believe it, this is my first HDMI receiver. It was a kind of random ebay purchase--the cheapest Onkyo HDMI surround receiver I could find. I'm kind of shocked at how good it is. Now I want one for my main projector setup.

I have this AVR with the Klipsch RCS 5.1.4 package, except I have the up-firing speakers removed (satellites are wall mounted), and have two Klipsch speakers from the RTP pack mounted on the ceiling. Also have the BIC PL-300 and a 65" Sony X90CL, and my setup kicks ASS for the amount of money I spent!! Costco AVR, TV, and speakers lol!!

Hi, and thanks for a great presentation. I'm taking the leap from my current Sonos system to embrace a setup using the Onkyo like yours. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch, but just want to have a good sounding system with probably a Costco/Klipsch Home Theater speaker system to leverage the Dolby Atmos feature. I found your video after buying the Onkyo today for $299 shipped from Adorama. Will definitely be using your video as a reference for some of the setup. I'm a new" subber" and will go through your channel to look for more relative info. Cheers!

I had this AVR to replace older Onkyo HT-RC360 unit that still works. I actually got the NR6050 used for free. Sold it and snagged a Yammy A4A (net 550). The center channel sounds so much better and remote is 10x better. Now I was able to EQ my Klipsh RP front stage. I think Onkyo needs to go back to Audessey.

I do agree the Yamaha has a much better remote but the A4A cost about twice as much and it’s understandable that it would offer better EQ capabilities. The accueq is a bit of a dud but I got it sounding really good just level matching it myself manually. Can’t blame you for moving on if you weren’t happy though.

Hi 👋 Sir , I just wanted to know? How many Pre output does it have?? I need two pre output?? I one need for power amplifier?? One need for active powered speakers. Please let me know?? Or which Onkyo model has place let me know?? I prefer 100 x 2 watts stereo or more 7.2 channel only. Thanks 🙏 waiting for your reply.
