I met someone online on an app (to connect, learn about other cultures, chat, etc.) and one person I started chatting to a couple days ago is just giving me a bad gut feeling. First, he asked how old I was (I had stated in my profile my age was fake bc I don’t like apps knowing my age) and I told him my age. (I’m 13, he is 28) He asked if I had a bf and I told him I didn’t, then he asked if I thought it was weird to be talking to him since he was older than me. I said it was fine as long as the people I talk to are nice. Later he asked for a picture of me (of my face) so I changed my profile picture to a picture of me and he called me beautiful. (Next day.) He said hey and some hours later said hey again. He’s from India so the time zones don’t match up well, and I told him that. So far that’s it; I’ll continue talking to him but I definitely don’t trust him, I trust my gut feeling. Wish me luck.
one time i was groomed for 2 months in internet by joining a "official" game group a "admin" was saying "noo reese dont go" and he started texting me with his "cousin" in other account forcing me to send my face, and keep blowing up my noftications and not letting me stop texting him i said im 13 and the girl was 12 and that person said theyre 14 but they looked like a 30 year old and kept abusing me on his "cousin's" account
I appreciate the serious message; wishes for everybody to speak up, help, reach out to focus attention on serious abuses of adults against children. And thank God for the forgiveness of children's hearts toward the people they love, so they can learn themselves how to grow to be helpful parents and good citizens, in all cultures.
hey, this is a great video. I just wanted to note that it implies that the abuse is not already happening before the child and predator meet in person.
Also, watch out for personal questions like where you live. I nearly fell into that trap once. They may ask where you’re from, and you won’t suspect anything. Just say the country. The guy who was talking to me followed up with “Cool! I live in London, are you near me?” If they say anything like that, just nope out of the conversation. They should respect your obvious boundaries which you set up when you didn’t specify.

Who can you contact if this happens to your child? I’ve contacted my local police department and can not get a return call. I’ve contacted Roblox and discord, they said they’d look into it yet the person is still online.
I have been sexually assaulted more than once sometimes I was asleep other times they would ask if I wanted to play the laying down game it was not cool I couldn't tell anyone or else that person would do it again and I was 11 years old
Do you still have contact with that person and know where that person could be found? Im sorry to hear this Horrible event Its never to late to report And get help This Type of events gives mental and emotional damage
Restrict access to one page to a select group of people that one know personally in your everyday life. Install security like antivirus, anti spyware and firewall to prevent grooming.
Everywhere you look, you see a child who has not just a handphone but a smartphone, with access to the internet with just a click or a swipe of a finger.
