The thing is with future edge and reloading etc, we play our volume starting with the best games and then working our way down to the shittier stuff, so in mtt if you are not rebuying, your next tournament replacement will by default be lower EV and therefore we should take less risk to stay in.

I understand what Bencb tries to say about this "format" (mystery) but i dont agree, i mean even tough is a really profitable game on the long run ... still a game, so this formats bring more recreationals to the game and overall i think is better to have them playing poker. if you r lucky and get that gold prize... i mean is a game. good for you.

maximizes the lottery variable, brings in massive variance. and a player is inclinced to hunt like crazy which prob wont happen.

Pko is already waaaay lower ROI than vanilla, every mistake the whales make is less of a mistake because they can still win a bounty and will always have better pot odds to limp or call big jams with garbage. Mystery bounty is shite because there’s often very little money to play for on FT and as a pro that’s where we want to make our money. Also I’ve seen on ipoker recently some of the big bounties were being taken out but I checked sharkscope and nobody won them?? Maybe it’s a scam like gg who knows

The high rake on GG is actually good for recreational player retention because al the small to medium winning professionals end up leaving as they can no longer win due to high rake. The losing players end up versing a big pool of other losing players and everyone loses at a slower rate. The best way to have player retention is to make the winners win less and the losers lose less and a high rake does that.
@abstract1603
@abstract1603 Месяц назад
You have no idea man..everyone losing faster due to high rake . Also the predatory gameplay is the only way to survive there . Gg gains the maximum profit that's the bottom line .
@LilGambling
@LilGambling Месяц назад
More rake is NOT better!
@StankHunt42
@StankHunt42 Месяц назад
@@abstract1603 Actually you have no idea. The rake has purposefully been increased to retain the players because the big whales lose at a slower rate when the rake is bigger. E.g. Typically in a 50c $1 game the rake is 15% so an allin pot of $200 equals a total rake of $30. If the whales typically lose 80% of the time against a good player, they are losing $24 of the $30 rake on average. With a higher rake of 20% they are versing worse players and only losing pots at 55% of the time. So the rake has increased to $40 but they are only losing $22. 80% to 55% is quite a far spread, but when the winning players leave the big blind lose rates for whales change dramatically as well. E.g. With low rake a good player may value bet thin 20 big blinds ($20) where a fish may check. In this new game with high rake the fish are no longer making thin value bets and the whales dont lose 20 big blinds. Theres heaps of examples like this
@StankHunt42
@StankHunt42 Месяц назад
@@LilGambling read my above math example. The rake on GG has been curated spefically for player rentention because whales end up losing at a slower rate.
@abstract1603
@abstract1603 Месяц назад
@StankHunt42 your example is invalid. Recreational have no idea about rake structures etc. Regs to counterfeit the high rake bumhunting/ like crazy . Also they pay most of their profits to gg . So Recreational's money raked very high via regs profits. Gg poker has the most Recreational for those specific reasons : they are allow everyone to play on the site with no restrictions at all, they allow agents to capitalize that to bring new players , you can play via VPN That's why it is a shady not trustful site . Sorry for my broken English!

'Poker is soft' while on a GG downswing, I like Ben but lets all agree its 10x harder than it should be coz of GG. The question really is whos really winning on gg? I have yet to see any legit player playing there winning on consistent basis thats not scamming people by posting fake graphs. The cash scene there is literally about how many BBJs can you get and if you don't say hello to 12/100 rake and PVI system that gives you nothing back. And tournament for some reason a lot of pros don't play there either unless you like Ben and play the super high stakes otherwise everyone is also loosing which was easy to see before they blocked sharq scope. New accounts always sun run like crazy for about a month and then you will never win anything ever again. And lets be real GG has almost a monopoly right now.

there was a list printed around 6 months ago where it showed that only 1 person was beating the rake up to 100nl I think without gg rewards, so yes its nigh unbeatable.

Show us proof of his long term win/loss before making such statement. I agree the gg is scammy in the sense that two outers and one outers always get dealt out, but i am sure it doesn’t only apply to GG but also other online cardrooms

"Games are soft, ya ya 100%". Let's not forget about the fact that Ben only plays sundays which are the most profitable days. Poker tournaments are beatable and I agree 100%, but for how much of a roi% really? 0%-10% on the best case scenario? Most people would be better off putting the money into an investment bank, atleast no downswings. People wake up! Ben makes much more money from his businesses (poker coaching being one of them). He made the good money of poker in the old days like the most, where people could achieve roi% of like (30-60%) which now aren't possible. I would really love to see him play 20k 100$ average buyins tournaments for 4 years and see how much real roi% he would achieve. I bet 5-10%.
