Saleen started official production of their Mustangs in 1985. The 1985 Saleen's had a unique look due to the choice of front spoilers and rear spats. However, the 1986 production year began with 1986 Saleen's looking like the 1985's. Being a small car manufacturer, Saleen had to use up all of their purchased inventory before changing to the new styling. So there are some early 1986 models that look like the 1985's but they got all the reliability of the 1986 fuel injection motor. So the first year looks with the modern SEFI engine management instead of a Holley Carburetor. The video just can't do these cars justice. One was fully restored just over 20 years ago with NOS parts. The other two are flip flopped. An 86 that looks like an 85 and an 85 that looks like an 86.
These are all owned by one gentleman who loves carburetors. He loves them as much as he hates them. Many thanks to Chris for letting us video this trio of Four Eye Saleen's.
