As a biracial woman whose father is German and mother is black. I feel his pain!! I didn't know I was different from my beautiful brown sisters until I tried wearing some hairstyles! I was told "you got the good hair, so why you trying to wear this hairstyle or that one?" I would be ashamed of my hair for a long time! My mother told me "don't hold your head down unless you're looking for change!" It hurt because I always admired my brown sisters hairstyles, skin etc... Now as an adult I wear what I want.
