As someone who works at Tesco, the prices of branded items especially are set out by the brand itself. You'll find companies like coca-cola and kelloggs send it reps to check out displays and prices. Many supermarkets are pretty similar in prices. Also most retailers offer a members rewards type of scheme. Clubcards are free, so the controversy always seemed a little silly. Sometimes tesco is also far more convenient for people to get to.

Tesco used to get better prices than other supermarkets. The club cards deals are either on loss leaders and over inflating prices. I learned from my grandmother know your prices. One of the Tesco card prices for t bags I bought were the same price as Morrisons without loyalty card.

Over here Kroger has those cards... They're not doing anymore any favors.. All the card is.... is a free survey of what you buy so they can adjust their prices accordingly.

I love Tesco. It's the only place I shop now for my main shop. Compared to Aldi, Lidl etc, the fruit and veg are far superior and last so much longer. So even though Alidi and Lidl are cheaper in this section, the food lasts 1-2 days max before going bad. So technically, it's way more expensive...

My mobile blew up 2 days ago so I dashed out to buy one immediately and the place I got my phone from was in a shopping centre type complex and I thought whilst I am here I will nip into Tesco just to grab a few essentials x On the positive it was a massive shop with plenty of choice and cos it was so big it spaced out customers so we were not on top of each others and plenty of cash outs open too x I spotted all the club card deals which as you pointed out are everywhere and very clearly displayed....the only issue is I didn't have my club card with me and when I saw the savings on the items I was gonna buy without the club card I didn't buy them cos a few items I wanted were over a pound more to me! What I did find though is that if that ever happens to anyone to go for the Aldi price match items that tend to be cheaper than on clubcard anyway and most of the things that I wanted weren't on the club card deals like their own ketchup and brown sauce etc x Now I usually shop at Asda and do it online and overall I was shocked how much more Tescos costs whether you get deals or not x I wasn't impressed with my bag of shopping totalling 40 quid and no meals or anything just a few random bits x I'm not keen though appreciated the choice and brightness and cleanliness of the store! X

Another great vlog , i will admitt i do shop around and find which store works out the cheapest for what i need and go there , i think at the moment Asda seems to be the cheapest for what we buy it's just the fact it's a bit out of the way and need to counter in delivery charges or travel expenses , thankfully we have Heron on our doorstep so often get a few good deals from there xx

Live but not live just finished my induction day at my volunteer job and it went so bad in my opinion 😢 my autism started to take over me😂I got upset as I thought I done something wrong and then the manager got mad ish at me bc I lost a sale for them only bc I made this lady the decision not to buy the dress as I was only stating the truth how the dress was like a teenager style dress and not for a old lady😂😂 I was saying it in a nice way and trying to help her find another green dress but nothing was there😂. Apparently in retail you have to lie to someone to say that dress will look nice on them even if it doesn't! just so they can get money and a sale😂😂 I was a bit to honest with the lady😂😂 oopsie. I like seeing these to see but I'm not a branded person. But the sheer amount I save going to aldi compared to Tesco Asda n morrisons is mad. A huge xl bag i had the other other in aldi for only £17 full of veg fruit snacks cereals etc. I live next to a morrisons n it's honestly extortionate

#livebutnotlive from St. Joseph’s Immigrant Home! That is one thing that I find annoying. So many big companies require you to give personal data in order to get any offers. Sometimes, the staff can even be quite threatening about it when you refuse, which is even worse. I guess it’s alright for some places, but I don’t think they should be allowed to do that at food markets.

Yes you're right, Aldi is generally cheaper, so it made it interesting to see that some Tesco Clubcard prices were still cheaper than Aldi 👍

You more have to ask is the club card price the cheapest you can get the item Anywhere in other places. And you still have to buy the item or you will just see a price and get some thing you would not be buying any way. do not forget they only match price for items with same weight as Aldi. the cost of its full price have to be that price at all supermarkets if you are able to buy it for a £1 and there only offering 99p but you are also with some offer getting you to spend more buying 3 items so increasing spend. and even increasing waste since you can not use all before going bad. but some offers £1.10 buy 2 for £2 only a 10p saving. the soya milk costing £2 when there is only 50p then it is not a saving. the pot noodles as this video goes up are 90p in Asda. so no cheaper. but can you make meals with everything you got. you could have gave a total cost of all items at other shops what saving there is or not

From working in retail you don’t actually have to give your data I had a lady who was struggling with not wanting to share her data but she was missing out on loads of offers in my old job and I told her she could literally put an initial on it and I’d have to accept it haha in the end she racked up so many points and deals! 😂 But I don’t trust the clubcard prices over here they’ve been caught loads of times pricing things at unrealistic prices just to make it look like a great deal when it’s actually just a normal price…🙈 You really have to know your prices to actually get the deals and often they’re very rarely on the free from stuff 😢!
