filipinos and their thirst for global validation lmao di nyo alam ginagatasan lng tayo ng views kase alam nilang uhaw tayo sa atensyon ng mga foreigners and tayo naman mga pinoy proud na proud pa😵😵 this is borderline colonial mentality under the guise of nationalism.
Not gonna lie this must be the first time I've heard a foreigner try palabok and make sure to MIX it and mention that you HAD to 😭 I'm glad she enjoyed them!
How she pronounces "palabok" like she's actually from the Philippines is crazy. Probably one of the best pronunciations! Please, enjoy the Philippines!
Dude I’m 25 weeks pregnant, and my Filipino husband has been taunting me and my cravings by showing me pictures of their chicken and gravy. Y’all are wrong. 😂😂😂 UPDATE: I had my baby on September 7 after 23 hours of labor, and my MIL drive from Chicago for the birth and BROUGHT ME Jolibee chicken, gravy, and mango pies. So I held my baby boy and ate chicken in the hospital. THANK YOU for the well wishes and congratulations! He’s perfect.
As an half filipino, when you mixed up the palabok it gave me inner peace...😅 I once saw a couple eat the palabok without mixing and said it's not tastey at all and completely bland..😶 I hope you enjoy it there!! ❤️
After seeing videos on non Filipino’s trying Jollibee and having issues with the other menu items that weren’t Chicken Joy since it wasn’t something they were used to, you being open to the flavors and food was a welcoming sight. Also, your pronunciation of Palabok made my heart swell with a little pride.
As a Filipino, thank you for pronouncing palabok properly. I always hear white folks complaining these things aren't pronouncable by non-Filo speakers. Thank you for trying and proving them wrong. You did excellently. Mabuhay ka!
I'm not sure why but I absolutely love watching your videos they're very entertaining just the way you review the food on your facial expressions completely make the video good job keep it up extremely entertaining
I worked with a Filipino woman at a hospital and I will never forget the first time she had me over for dinner. Being Italian, when I saw the hot dogs in the spaghetti, well, it felt sacrilegious, but omg it amazing. Everything she made was amazing...her fried rice was the best I've ever had. Haven't seen her in over a decade...but I will never forget you Sonia ❤
Filipino garlic fried rice is simple yet delicious 🤤... You would just need leftover rice, finely chopped garlic (I use half a garlic but adjust it depending on the quantity of your rice), salt and cooking oil. Heat the oil up before putting the garlic. When you put the garlic just saute it in the cooking oil until golden brown. Add the rice and just mix it around, otherwise it would stick to the pan and you'd like the garlic infused oil to coat every grain of rice, then season it with salt (If unsure, then just add a little bit of salt first, and if you want it to be a bit more salty, then just add more)... Just keep mixing so that the salt gets evenly distributed. We love pairing garlic fried rice with eggs, it could be sunny-side-up or scrambled... and also some kind of of meat or protein, it could be traditional Filipino cured meats, such as Tapa (Soy Sauce Marinated Beef), Tocino (Candied Filipino Bacon), Longganisa (Filipino Sausage), we typically dip the protein in spiced vinegar to contrast the sweetness, basically you'd have sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavors... but we also love pairing garlic fried rice with fried SPAM, fried Bacon, fried Hotdogs, canned Corned Beef sauteed in garlic, onion and a little bit of salt, (we also do the same with canned tuna), Ham, Salami, Boloney, Hungarian Sausage, etc... basically almost any kind of cured or canned meat.
If I hadn't tried Filipino spaghetti when I was younger, I probably wouldn't have liked it today. But I get a nostalgic feeling whenever I eat Filipino spaghetti. I'm instantly transported back to my childhood.
What do you crave more in the menu in Jollibee. Me: Tuna pie, chicken, fries, palabok, and the burger steak. I really want to try the spicy chicken when I eat there again.
i got to try jolibee when i was in london and it truly was the best fast food i’ve ever had. i’m american and i’m moving there soon, i cannot wait for all the jolibee i’m gonna eat lmao
@@farnortheastmovement1127 its also nothing special. atleast in terms of chicken. kfc and popeyes are just as hit and miss as jollibee. i go to popeyes most because the jollibee and kfc in my area are terrible and the popeyes is the best one ive ever been to. that peach mango pie is my favorite fast food desert by far though
@@farnortheastmovement1127 they don’t have it in the part of the us i’m in, and i’m obviously not moving to the uk solely for jolibee lol. it just happens i’ll be living in an area there where they do have jolibee’s.
@@daneallemand3428 who gives a fuck 😂 let the man judge whoever he wants jeezus yall get too sensitive on here . I miss the og RU-vid comments from back in the day when i was a kid. More peaceful .
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MIXING THE PALABOK UP I swear whenever I see people turn down palabok because "it's bland" i just feel my heart getting crushed because it's such an amazing dish but since some people don't prepare it the way it's intended before eating, they instantly push it down 😭😭 I'm just glad you did and I'm happy to hear you like it 💚💚
Omg thank u so much for trying our filipino jollibee as a filipino when u try our jollibee u thanked our country thanks for complimenting jollibee u know that its good❤❤
As a Filipino, you’re honest with your reviews and I’m just glad you love the spicy chicken! I do too and- some people disagree but the gravy is absolutely delicious! Ten out of ten would recommend ❤😊
First off- I love your makeup. I do mine the same way but yours just looks so pretty on you. Secondly, your teeth are so pretty😂😂 I absolutely cannot get over it. But this food always looks so darn good!!!!!
As a Filipino that haven't been in Philippines 🇵🇭 for a while, dis made my day. I miss Jolliebees in Philippines, it's the best one. 😅 Edit: Omg Tysm for so many likes. I didn't know ppl liked my comment, hahhah😅😅😁
yeah, but seriously, the spice level on the spicy chicken joy felt like a smidge of cayenne went into the breading to me. but then again, one of my friends broke out into a sweat because of it during a camping trip 💀
Some white people actually like spicy food. Crazy that we’re not all exactly the same. No race, gender, orientation, etc is a monolith. I’m tired of the generalizations, personally. It’s 2023. Can’t we move past stereotypes and assumptions already?
Congrats~ You pronounced palabok correctly and accurately. XD Even my halfsie cousins would have a hard time pronouncing it, even if their mom speaks Filipino fluently at home with them.
