I've tried and I even have the app downloaded on my phone. But they're just no places around me that are offering this service. I think that it's just disheartening to know that there's so much food waste. And in my area they haven't started doing much about it. I'm just waiting!

Hi there, I had a few basic items left like bread, milk and butter. I decided to get 3 co op magic bags, for about £ 11. This fed me for 7 days. Made loads of lovely meals, lots of vegetable stir Fry's, saved me loads of money 😊

Over here you just get what you get, so if you're vegan or vegetarian it's a gamble. Some supermarkets do a fruit and veg box, so that's OK when vegan cause you're sure not to get meat and dairy etc.

Lovely to see you do a too good to go haul and taste test challenge. I mentioned it in your last video and also recommended a store called Pound stretcher but the comment is no longer there 😢 I haven't got round to trying this as the pickup times are when my son is asleep afyer 8pm or after midnight. Not so convenient I guess when your alone. Hope to try the app in the near future 😬

That's strange about your other comment, but now we know about your recommendation - so thanks for mentioning it again! 👍 Yes most of the pick up times are in the evening but there are some which have a collection for breakfast, or even in the afternoon from 3/4pm. It just depends on which place it is I guess 😊

Love the idea and the use of “too good to go” sadly our local village shops don’t do it which is a shame because I’d love to help reduce waste locally as well as what me and my family already do at home. What you’ve done is terrific. A lot of restaurants & supermarkets here donate there left over produce to a food banks such as the Salvation Army Donations of there produce that are near there due date. There is Such a high demand with that those that use to donate are now coming to get food. Even those that have jobs by the time they pay their mortgages utilities etc have very little or no money over to buy food & that the number of people seeking help is the highest it’s ever been. I look out for reduced items such as I got 2 ready made meals for $6.00 normally would have been $14. The cost of living is a conversation had often by my friends. Example 2 years I could buy my cats (Kiki) a box of cat food for $10 I now pay $14.50 😅That’s nearly a 50% increase. So you telling your UK fans of the app maybe a huge help to families that are struggling As I’m sure your country is going through the same as us. Love & blessings to you all. 🇦🇺💜🐨💙💙

Hey Lynne, thanks for your comment and for watching 🙏 Yes it seems like that over a last few years - from what we can see and tell anyway, that there has been a rise in consciousness of people and something is finally being done about excess food that was being wasted. Not only is it prevented from being wasted, but it's going to those who need it at a lesser cost - or even for free, so it is solving multiple problems all at once 👍 It's great that there are apps and initiatives like Too Good To Go helping with all of this, and we hope there are more to come! it’s cool that you can call them to let them know that you’re vegan and they’ll just put vegan friendly things aside for you. i tried the app a few years ago and got a lot of bread too 🤣 the bags are also more expensive and don’t contain much here.

I'm still making my way through your videos as really love your channel, Bob is funny too he makes me laugh especially him and Jojo together. With too good to go if a bag is under the value stated you can get a refund from too good to go, i use the app often. I decided to do a challenge myself too a weeks shopping for £20 as there is only me in my flat i set the budget quite low, using the tips you guys gave in previous challenge videos i was able to do my week shopping in Aldi for £16.25p, a great video would be a Aldi vs Lidl if you can to see which one you could get the most food for for £30. Thankyou so much for doing these videos you guys really do brighten up my day.

Hi kaite bob and jojo i have a challenge for you. So i am allergic to lemon which is hidden in alot of things even things i like like for an example the other day i had an egg mayo sandwich from tesco ate it when i was on the bus but a short while later had to get off to go petrol station to get some medication because i checked after i ate the sandwich because felt my throat feeling weird and i looked it had lemon juice luckily i am ok now my challenge is 24 hours eating food without lemon in 😀

I do like that the app is available in the United States as well. Unfortunately, it is not available in my city. I do live in a larger metropolitan area, so it actually surprises me a little bit that it’s not available here but I keep checking back, hoping that the app will gain enough traction in the United States and expand more. There are plenty of little shops in supermarkets and restaurants near me that could use this app, and it would bring them some revenue off of the items that they would have had to throw away instead.

@@FamilyFreedom I feel like some of the smaller towns likely will never have access to apps like that just due to lack of businesses. The smallest town in my state has just over 600 people and it is basically in the wilderness so they do have to travel to another town to dine at a restaurant or shop. However I can see this app hopefully becoming more popular in bigger metropolitan areas and areas with colleges and shopping centers. You tend to find restaurants and grocery stores will be in the same areas as colleges and universities.

That's a good question, I'm not sure about other places but thankfully here in London there are lots of people that collect leftover food from restaurants and shops and distribute it to people in need.
