Keep the kids busy building stuff and open them up a 1/8th mike track or concrete lot! Kids with nothing to do are kids that end up statistics. Give them the choice to do the right thing before bashing them and then and only then deal with any problems that come up.

put lights, blinkers, mirrors and horn on them and register them as mopeds. growing up in iowa in 90s they were street legal if had all that stuff. had to have orange triangle flag 5 feet off ground on back too and get a plate.

And things like this is why I think we should have places/parks for people to ride their mini motorcycle bikes or do some drag racing with cars. There's plenty of off-road places but not for street cars. How hard is it for someone to have that idea?
And when doing it in parking lots is tried the cops not only shut it down but treat the boys far more like they're villains than if they do it in the public road where cops have to see a specific law get broken and can't just yell "trespassing" as they'll 99% of the time do when the boys get together in a parking lot or park

I witnessed a boy die on one of those pocket bikes. He was riding in a residential area near my old friends house and he was going at full speed and lost control and ran directly into a parked car. He died before getting to the hospital.

If they want to share the road with vehicles. Anyone driving these "Mini Bikes" need to follow the law. Most of the people riding these things don't have helmets and lights. It's scary, hearing them and not knowing where there coming from. They need to be held to the same standards as motorcycles. Helmets, Lights, Registrations, Turn Signals. Most people riding these don't have Driver Licenses. They should not be allowed on the street. Just my 2 cents

They have always been illegal on the roads , this is not new ... I had one , and if I rode it it would be a quick ride around my neighborhood then I would put it away .. I never went on the main streets .. I see a lot of people riding these now every where without helmets 😕😕 Please if you ride wear a helmet ..
The minibikes yes but helmets aren't required in CA. I encourage others to gear up and never go out without a helmet, but this is not China and nanny state should not enforce safety laws that's not affecting others safety. Waste of time and resources, go spend that energy on catching killers. Plus plenty times cops can just use it as an excuse to power trip, just like the "I smell weed" claims just to search you back when weed was illegal
All the youth need to take it to the city and make it known that these mini bikes are the way of life for the harsh environments we live in. Make the roads and laws change but respectfully let the council know.

Just like you have off road vehicles spots for family events , there's plenty of spaces they can designate for these activities , i used to cruise Whittier blvd back in the 80s then they shut it all down , this is another reason shit gets all messed up, what harm is there is cruising your car ?

I live in bixby knolls and I used to have my mini bike straight piped, now I got a muffler on it so it’s quite. I also got lights on my bike and follow the law best I can, never got in trouble. Bike on!!!!!

I disagree with this narrative. This is extortion. There is not where to ride these things in the cities and when guys do try to ride them safely or in a different manner they get arrested, all for a toy. THe dumbest part is this stuff keeps these guys out of trouble and instead doing something fun and enjoyable as well as teach their kids about wrenching and fixing stuff. The mini bike scene is one of the closest knit bunch of people and the police don't like that.

So gold and silver is money. The dollar was a silver certificate. But in 1933 the dollar became a federal reserve note which is like a mortgage note. When you get the dollars now it's a negative ledger it can buy you things but it doesn't hold real value. Especially with them printing so much of it. So insurance is a scam. People don’t run around today going to the store paying with silver or gold. People use dollars for absolutely everything. Insurance mainly car insurance because it is applicable here covers a portion of the cost if you end up getting in a crash and provides a sense of assurance that the possible victim is provided with sufficient funds for damages. Insurance company’s also deal with a lot of the legal end of things. Insurance company’s are basically betting on people to give them money and not get into crashes and have to pay money due to that. And anyways the dollar not being backed by gold and silver anymore although unfortunate. Doesn’t give any argument to insurance being a scam let alone vehicle insurance being required by law. The reality of things is that people don’t use gold and silver on a regular basis and use dollars instead for their everyday life.
