once you knocked down another player don't be shy to stand directly infront of there face and start kicking/slamming since ur basically blocking them from running away and u stun them more in the process or bleed them making it a harder situation for them to flight or fight.
Hey Pete. Your Tenontosaurus video was a great watch, and many others like me are eager to see what’s next for us to see. On that note; you said that you’d love to hear some tips on Tenontosaurus, I’ve played Tenontosaurus many times and I have a lot of experience playing as one. So from one player to another, here’s how you can improve and some tips I added that you can use. The one tail slam to the head two kick combo has worked like a charm for me against carnos. Carnos start charging, I run and quickly tail slam them in the head to stun them, and then I run over and start kicking the living hell out of their face. One thing I keep in mind is my stamina usage during a fight, so whenever you’re in a combat situation, don’t chase the enemy. I mainly use claw attacks for dilos, Omnis, Herreras and troodons; and I usually preserve my kicks and tail slams for the bigger bois like cerato and carno. One tip that’s pretty useful for me is using my alt attack to reposition myself faster. And Pete, I know you said during the video that you hit your tail slams when you don’t think about it, and that’s actually a good call. Only use your tail slam when the time is right, not just cause you want to use it. Mainly, you should mostly use your kicks for damage not tail slams, the stamina cost will kill you faster than a deino ever could. I actually fended off 5 adult Dilos quite easily by making them think I was hallucinating and out of stamina. Dilos got cocky, and then they started decomposing faster than they’d planned for. Referring to this; I believe that using the surrounding environment and situation to your advantage is the best way to win more fights. Overall I’d say you’re a natural at Tenontosaurus, but you can still improve in some areas. One thing I’d focus on is less chasing the enemy and more baiting your opponents attacks for deadly counterattacks, because slow and steady wins the race.

Hey defeatpete been playing for a few weeks now on the isle and just started envrima. I watch your videos and notice your ping is usually around the same that I get but I’m constantly lagging so you have any tips to stop the lag because I notice you rarely have any.
It was fun! The stamina regen is slow but it has a boatload of stamina to use before it tires! Its trot is also fast to get around. All in all, strong swamp donkey
So I got The Isle a few months ago, but only recently was able to start playing as I had to figure out a way to easily map a controller. I've tried out a few dinos, with Teno being my most recent. When I spawned in I there were 2 ai adult Tenos, and 1 ai juvi that all followed me relentlessly until I reached the sanctuary. Is this a new feature? Did you experience this Pete?
@@DefeatPete Huh, that's so odd. I wish I thought to record, the 3 of them followed me for over 45 minutes. Any time I stopped they'd stop and form a circle around me. Was pretty cool honestly, felt like I had a lil family watching over me lol
For that carno around 3:20 If i had a guess, it's that he was starving, and was already low on health, you guys battering him simply allowed for the starvation to take it's toll, but that's just my guess.
Not at all! You essentially get two "the isle" games when you buy it, "Legacy" and "Evrima", which you can see here. If you want to play this version, you go into the games properties in Steam. Go to "betas" and choose "Evrima" from the drop down menu. This will download the latest version of the game!
I think you either dislike it or easily sink hundreds of hours into it! You could give it a go now or later, when it has received more updates/dinosaurs
tenoto its just too overpowered, it is just not normal that a carnivore as higher chances to loose against a teno and not other wise ( like carno or cera) beeing this dinos almost the same weight.....
Just the fact that it is as popular to play as it is should be proof enough... hell even the people who enjoy mixpacking and randomly killing people for no reason likes to use it, people do tend to enjoy the 'good' stuff in games after all. Nothing beats a powerhouse that can stand there and trade hits with most other playables and come out on top if all your are looking for is easy wins and padding your E-stick.
Just get good. Nothing else to say. Teno is a brawler. It is meant to excel in combat against other dinosaurs in a similar weightclass (Cera and Carno). It’s easily the most balanced dinosaur on the roster, it does fair damage and fair bleed and punishes you for playing poorly which I’m assuming you do since you’re saying teno is “overpowered” Get out of the Jurassic Park mindset. Herbivores aren’t free food.
@@TheHuffurif the only thing your doing is face tank every player you see, you have the most chances to die Especially against a teno, you dying to it doesn’t mean it’s op, it is the most balanced out of all the dinosaurs and once you master it you become a force of nature It is a really fun animal to play as, and a tricky one to fight with and against In conclusion, just get good
