I'd love to ride the ownboard Zues. That looks like a great board! Love how it has a little bit of flex to it but other than that I think it might be similar to my ACEDECK ARES X1. Though it sounds like the Zues might have better range. It would be very interesting to see how it handles compared to the ARES X1 as they both have a long wheelbase but the Zues would have to be a better carver being bamboo and the ARES perhaps better stability top speed a the carbon deck has so flex. Just my extensive thoughts/opinion though here.

Until you put the Velar side by side I didn't realize how much shorter the velar was from the X1. Really makes a difference. I will have to try out those bearings with the ARES X1.

@@TTLBALLER yes the bushings combo took me hours & hours of testing to get correct...Ive used it on all my TKP trucks and its super stable and very resposive and more lively....👍

I just watched a short with Fabian doing that. I will give that a go and hit up another big climb. I think it also might have been nerves as well on that road. There was a few aggressive drivers honking at me and buzzing by. Also the wind was throwing me off my normal rhythm. So perhaps not 100% the board. I perhaps nitpick as the boards that specialize in going downhill are so awesome that when isn't up to par I don't appreciate its ability completely.

@@TTLBALLER if you put the front bushings to the outer positions, it's pretty much unusable because you can barely turn. I wanted more stability on mine so I tried doing this but it's definitely not possible to ride this way, unless you're just going straight.
