This is too cool Kevin! Literally in my backyard here in Lakeside! I could have gave you a bunch of eggs and veggies for your trip to Wildwood! You taught me at Fleming college many years ago! I grew up on wildwood lake, used it as our swimming pool.

Hi Kevin, greetings from the UK, that park set up looks brilliant, wish they would do the same over here, I would happily pay for camping, but it's just a matter of 'get off my land', Scotland is a bit different, if you can avoid the haggis, 😂😂👍☕ Hope you and your family are doing well, keep everyone safe. Nige 📹😀👍☕☕ok, more ☕☕☕☕😂😂

Those are some great supplies! You can't go wrong with good chocolate. We enjoy our small batch roasted coffee too. Farm eggs are great! Those campsites look nice. We are looking at renting a trip canoe in the Sylvania Wilderness in Michigan this summer for our first canoe camping trip. I love the song as your paddling back! Can't wait to see where this summer takes you. 🙂

Yes, kudos to the Park Supt....brilliant idea. Great way to introduce kids and grandkids to canoe tripping. Discovered this park hiking the Avon Trail....it goes right through the park....there are a lot of deer in this park....another great discovery was the town of St Marys....beautiful location and many gorgeous stone buildings ...Ontario people have not discovered this town yet...potentially an Elora or Fergus type town.

Hey Kevin I’ve been canoeing ww for about 10 years Took a few courses with P Mason and others. Been lake canoeing since childhood I talk to people about weeklong solo trips or with a friend in Tandem A lot of people recommend against doing solo or going out with only one canoe for safety reasons I get it But sometimes a person just waiting finit alone!! What do think?

Love the Upper Thames Conservation area backcountry sites. I am staying at that same site in a couple of weeks with my wife. Looking forward to it. Guess I should get some chocolate while I'm there. Hoping more conservation areas see how successful the Upper Thames has been at this and adds some themselves. Like the Lower Thames for instance.

I am going to be 72 in July so I was wondering what is your preference, the paddling part or camping. I like to find a good place to stay and keep myself there for about 50 days. I've lost my interest in tripping. You can find the same heaven almost anywhere.

I hear ya. My buddy Andy and I have done lots of bush portages but lately we've been looking for more water to paddle then portaging - Georgian Bay, Lake Opeongo, Kiosk Lake, Lady Evelyn Lake, Lake Superior...My partner Kristine is better at campground than I am but we've found some good options in Ontario.

Good.......as your videos always are. Holy smoke a real Port-a-John on the campsite!!! I really like the firewood idea. I canoe camp in Sylvania Wilderness Area in Michigan's western U.P. Can gather dead and down wood. I have seen some videos of other campers really gathering LOTS of wood for large fires or for cooking their meals over. If many people did that the forest will be stripped of dead wood in only a few years. Then they start on the living trees. While I am rambling: I guess it would be best if all cooking must done on stoves (just like fire bans) and all campfires should be small. Just getting to be to many people to "leave no trace" camping. Sorry getting kind of preachie.
