I love the wildlife, trails , beach and bird watching, at Rondeau, I always see deer walking through to bad you didn't , pretty area close to home for those who want a weekend camping adventure . when going North isn't an option at the time.

Camped here twice. Great bird watching and hiking. However, I had bad experiences both times there. Roudyism and problems with cottagers. :( This is the second oldest provincial park in the system. Maybe I should try going NOT on a long weekend?

There is some of that going on - especially on weekends. It's a big park, which can always add to the problems. I hope they get it under control. The wild areas are amazing.

Ticks and poison ivy - two things to watch out for. But they cab be dealt with. To much of a lovely area of the province to ignore because of...

Ya...good point. That was a long day on the road for us so we didn't get too much time to take in the park when we got there. Next time though!

Rondeau may be ok for some and even for many but i'm going to stick to Algonquin.

Yep I can attest to how one can easily spend a week or two at Rondeau. I'd spend a month atleast every summer as a kid, and hope to again one day when I retire. Although we did get bored as a kid, but that was half the fun resolving the boredom with so much nature around.

Love your videos, but not seeing much of the parks you've been staying in,,I'm more interested in the campground than the amenities in the area...

Good point. It was a road tour so we were pushed for time each day - next time we will be staying longer at each park...and I wanted to make sure I promoted the local business along the way. They need it right now!

@@TheHappyCamper So right about promoting the businesses along the way, I was just being selfish in wanting more campsite pictures..Looks like you had a great time,,next time maybe you'll go to Rock Point, but it was probably difficult to get a reservation at any of the PP.
