We used to camp 4 people out of a 1972 Ford F100 without 4 wheel drive. Overlanding is just a new name for camping.

So Rory... as fun as these events are... and as hoonery and shenanigans ensue... safety needs to be #1 priority. We can't afford to have you limping and crooked so be safer guys! I have a really messed up knee and had 2 surgeries, screws, plate, ligaments torn... literally everything inside the knee is screwed up and I have to walk with a knee brace after this lady ran a stop sign and I t-boned her at speed. I got a bad neck, bad back, bad lower back, pinched nerves. Cars are fun to be around but not when they cost you your health. I hope you were able to walk it off but be careful guys.

This team up works out great because Colt makes Rory seem like a normal sized human. You guys did choose the coolest car for the challenge.

The Tacoma comment had me laughing! And I own a Tacoma. I've never understood the "overlanding" thing. The industry has taken what used to be a relatively cheap outdoor activity, camping, and turned it into something people just dump thousands of dollars into, and they're still just sleeping in tents.

I remember back in the day it was uncomfortabley hot riding in a pacer and that was in the north east.

This event may have been a lot smaller event than the of road games but it looked like it was much more fun. Wish I could have been there, retiring in 9 months after 41 years so perhaps next year. 😊

I didn't realise those tiny pacers had 4.2 litre engines. Thats crazy. In the UK you'd be lucky to see a 1.0 3 cyclinder in a car that size.

This was like watching an ordinary guy compete in the Olympics. Really showed how utterly helpless ordinary vehicles are in this terrain, while the $12 Buggy and the Rudicon casually stroll around, and Paul's wrecker pulls two out at once.

I saw a whole lot of rat rod wrecker in this trail mater video 😂 I love that last year everyone took it somewhat serious and brought something that might have been offroad capable to a point, then this year most people brought something that's so clearly not gonna work at all 😂

The reality is between Rory and Colt I think they can actually build a pacer that will work. It’s a platform that nobody else would even consider but I think between these two they can pull it off.
