I'm sorry for your loss. This year has been terrible for everyone. Covid has left no one untouched from heartache. My heart just breaks for everyone. My Dad passed away in September and today we had a service for him. Fur babies has made this year a little better so I cannot even begin to fathom the heartache you're experiencing. My love and hugs are being sent your way and again, I am so sorry. My most sincere condolences. 💔
I'm so sorry for your loss! It has indeed been a rough year for many. Losing a parent, especially under these circumstances, must have been increadibly hard.
@@hudolls4555 Thank you, it has been but I can't allow myself to be too sad knowing that this year has left almost nobody untouched by pain, grief, heartache and hardships. If I allow myself to get too swallowed up by my grief then I will loose my compassion for others and I don't want that nor would my Dad want that for me.

What a lovely concept! She's gorgeous! Sorry your Dog has passed. My Rosie, a tabby cat I rescued as a badly injured kitten went to the Rainbow Bridge last Christmas. We had over 20 years together, unfortunately Cancer reared its ugly head, so I had to say goodbye to a very dear and beloved friend. I would like to say it gets easier, however, i still get the odd day I miss her quiet, and gentle presence. A good way to think is you doggy friend is chasing rainbows and is content and happy, and yes, memories are a good thing. They give far more than they receive. Yes a future Coffee girl would be lovely to see some day.. ❤️
Wow, 20 years! Sadly, they are parts of our lives for such a short time, my kitty turned 10 last week, and I hope to get 10 more with her. "They give far more than they receive." That's so true!
Much compassion for your loss. I have had dogs all my life and it never gets easier. They just don't live long enough. Just know that as long as she was loved she had a good life.

I’ve had to put my puppy of only 3 months to rest after serious health complications, and I continue to grieve and feel guilt 3 years after, but I always believe there is a lot of beauty in grief, and your doll customization is proof of that, especially utilizing Kintsugi which is such an appropriate symbolic representation of your heart’s brokenness still has value and has “color” even if it feels like there isn’t. Thanks for sharing your experience and creation with us.
I know I'm late but, this is amazing and great job on fixing the neck peg keep creating amazing works of art. Also I know it's hard dealing with a lost of a loved one, thank you for pushing through and making this video even though you didn't have to.
It's taken me a year to respond to this and today I realized why half way through I had stopped watching this video. Just weeks before you posted this video I had to also let go of my baby. I had had her since she was 5 weeks old and she was almost 16 when she left us. Listening to your heartache I had to have a good cry and never came back to finish watching this video, until today. Today well watching I remembered how much this doll meant to me at that time. All her cracks and the pain in her eyes completely encompassed all that hurt I was going through. She is what made me start painting again. Thank you so much for your heart and your amazing art. And I hope you have a new baby in your life to make you smile and to share that love with again.
I feel you on layer 5. A couple of years ago I had to put down my dog, and best friend, I had her for 14 years (all the way from the start of high school). We never really get over or forget them. We just learn to cope without them. Beautiful doll btw.

This doll is beautiful! I don't know if it's my inner Sid from Toy Story, but I love dolls with crazy body mods and an open tea cup character is SO awesome, it's very Alice in Wonderland. Also, I felt your pain talking about your dog. Several years ago we had to put one of our two first cats to sleep after she developed liver issues we couldn't heal. She was our sassy little girl who's yell at you like an air raid siren till she was petted. That hole-in-the-heart feeling is something I wouldn't wish on anyone - I'm SO happy you're doing ok!
I know it's been awhile but Im so sorry for your loss. I lost 2 of my fur babies last year, one of old age and the other by a tragic hit and run, so I feel your pain. This was a really neat idea and it turned out great. Keep up the fantastic work. ✌
This is fantastic!!!! Fun fact! In Chile (where i live) sometimes we reffer the handle as the ear! If someone is loosing a ear the name that is given to that person is "tea cup" lol
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel when you say it's like losing a limb. My mom and I adopted a little dog named Koga in 2004 from a high kill shelter and he became my little buddy. He'd been hit by a car before we got him, and his spine had fused in places, so he was a hunchback. That never got him down, though. Wherever I went, there went Koga. We finally lost him on April Fools Day 2014 after a long fight with some infected abscesses and I got MAD when my mother told me Koga had passed because I thought it was an April Fool's joke. I threw a lamp at her.
The bond is so strong between us humans and our dogs, they are such lovely companions. It must have been so hard to recieve the news, the grief must have been horrible. I'm so sorry for your loss!

I get how you feel..I put my baby girl Chilli down who I've had for 13 yrs on the 29th of December. It's been the hardest 2 months due to her always being there like furniture. I'm sorry you lost your baby, but your doll is amazing! ❤️🌹

We also use the "ear" word in Hungarian for the handle of the cup:) btw I really like the cup-dolls, I saw some other artists are also customizing them. The golden decoration is just amazing on this dolly. Beautiful repaint!:)

It takes time, grief morphs into missing, but it will take time. I hope you'll get as much time as possible with your little pup (because it doesn't matter how old they get, they'll always be puppies).
Sorry for your loss I recently had to put down my cat that I’ve had for 15 years and the doll is very beautiful it inspired me to do something with my ponies that I’ve been wanting to do for a while
