When discussing vertical video content, what we can't forget is phones being sold are no longer in a 16:9 aspect ratio anymore, but at least 2:1 now. If you wanna stream 1080p wide by 2160p high (which is realistically the standard now) you still require a 4k widescreen sensor readout to get that image.
Hi Way, thanks for the debate, regarding the 8K development, I was thinking that you were paying attention about major societal issues, RPC manufactured products, for instance. from this side, are You sure that going to highest video format is a good environmental purposal?Even if I think that 8K or better 12K are very useful format for Cinema projection , I don't think it's a good way of thinking to promote video format increase competition for a day today usage . Now a day, We have the 4K and I'm sure market is far away from being saturated. Regarding movies shooting, thinking that 8K is better just for a vertical cropping looks a big discrepancy VS societal costs (production places, obsolescence, energy consumption...), Even if prices are decreasing, 8K usage remains expensive and young creators will may stay out from success. from a general video point of view, more the price is high more the people will be considering that smartphone will be an alternative solution, this may be a market killer, (look for low mid range photo camera). in an other way , from an artistic point of view , shooting vertically remains different from a horizontal view. Moving the camera may look or , in the future , having camera with moving sensor should be an alternative..., thanks for the all
asked last week a late question and just want to ask again if it something you can make in to a video in the future about possible and or optional gimbal brands or products that are not chinese brand or made in china thank you. as for 8k and this idea is great, though i do wonder if its still possible to get the same results with 6k? or is the steps from 1080p to 4k then its not 6k but actually 8K? or is 8k 2 steps above 4k im still a little confused on that one. Just wondering about the desire and realistically for 6k to come out for fuji and or other brands is more realistic than seeing more 8k in the near future? then again Lbrackets is going to be more popular BUT require a new design where you place the camera vertically on the grip side of the camera on to the tripod.
