In my opinion the anime should have sticked to these key ideas in the corrsponding manga chapter: 1. Kaido doesn't attack Luffy until Luffy is done attacking 2. the first attack should be a one shot 3. the first attack should be so fast no one sees it coming (both Luffy AND the audience) 4. we don't know if the attacks work until after Luffy stops attacking (to keep the tension and hype up during the attacks) (- directly after Kaido's attack, he says 'what kind of king did you say you are?' - after Luffy is done attacking and before Kaido knocks Luffy out, Kaido gets up and sighs)

Also I'm really glad Hibou was analyzing and realize that luffy was doing no damage to kaido while khan was not noticing at all and thinking luffy was dominating kaido in the fight. I love Khan as much as I love Hibou but he really needs to paid attention to details hell even rewind to analyze the scenes like Hibou did in this episode.

Gotta love that up until now, nobody could take gear 4 attack and shrug it off rasily. Most of them that got hit usually still using haki to soften the damage or just dodging it. Hell, even big mom uses haki to block luffy attack. And somehow kaido didn't use any shit to block g4 luffy attack and somehow still end up unscathed

The reason that Kaido reverted to his "human" form is the same as Jack reverting back to his non-devil fruit form - it is a better form for fighting against that type of opponent.

I don't think it's cause it was a counter. None of luffy attacks hurt kaido so even that king kong gun did jack sh*t. But kaidos attack was just so strong that it was Always going to be a one shot even if it wasn't a counter. 😂 It was close to a simultaneous exchange cause luffy hit him first

Marques Perez Reason Luffy got shots on kaido in dragon form was because he was drunk. In manga when Kaido changed back to normal , Luffys punches made him bored and he speedblitzed Luffy and one shot him.

Im pretty sure you probably already know by now but manga wise Kaido just speed blitzes Luffy for the one shot. They changed it to having Luffy and Kaido exchanging blows however in reality, Kaido takes the Kong Organ, sighs, and then speed blitzes Luffy with the Thunder Bagua (which the anime seems to not get right as its shown multiple times that the technique IS a speed blitz technique while the anime just has Kaido do a stationary strong swing)

@@soul6733 If you read the manga you can see Oda didn't add his classic impact lines for Luffy's attacks visually showing us he did no damage compared to Kaido's One-Shot which had all the impact lines. That's something the anime messed up with all the impact lines and smears last episode

I think it’s not the same with BM’s elbow, *SHE DIDN’T 1 SHOT* Luffy. Luffy no bleeding no hurt, even after that elbow Luffy still could talik shit with BM, and after talk he disarm Gear4, just cuz they need to run so he only "one punch" like he said before, I know Sanji catch him, but *go look the SBS what ODA said* , Gear 4 just have the only side effect that no haki for 10 min, it wasn’t took Luffy’s energy, if there no Sanji or Gatz, Luffy still could run by himself (Just like the fight with Katakuri). It’s obviously Thunder Bagua more powerful than that BM’s elbow. And plz don’t tell me “but in anime blablabla...”, only manga create by ODA , those animate elaborate couldn’t mean anything. Anyway, just my own opinion.

Big Mom did force Luffy out of Gear 4, Luffy didn’t show any signs of deactivating it himself, and she wasn’t even attacking btw, it was just a slight push, on the other hand Kaido actively attacked Luffy with his weapon, it’s a completely different scenario. If Big Mom uses Napoleon to slice Luffy it would most likely end the same way, ... They are pretty much equal in strength based on their latest fight, neither can beat the other.

@@soul6733 its inconsistence dude. 1. That kaido headbutt vs luffy gear 3rd, it cannot be considered a one hit again. 2. Also during kaido dragon form in anime, kaido is kinda half sober but yet he dont finish luffy right away. 3. In anime luffy hit kaido so many times to sober him up, and yet theres no effect on kaido at all, its shows how "weak" luffy in anime, since in manga its only one elephant gun needed to sober up kaido 4. That "advanced armament haki" of kaido dragon form (the shield thing when head butting luffy)? I mean are you kidding me? If kaido have advanced armament haki, then how the f luffy gonna beat kaido?
