In Episode 3 of RetroParadyce, after 3 years of waiting, the Opel finally gets her lowering springs and a new exhaust becomes a necessity. But as with all things RetroParadyce, there's a few roadside remedies required....
I just bought a '70 GT. I've wanted one pretty much my whole life. I worked at a GM dealership during the late '90's and a woman would bring in her 25k mile original example. I would drool all over it every time. They are still pretty reasonably priced here in the U.S. when you can find them. I've had mine for less than 2 weeks and it needs a total resto. I bought it along with a '75 Corvette from the same guy. The Corvette may or may not be repaired but I'm in love with the Opal and already buying the parts it needs. And as an aside, my dad owned a Manta brand new in 1973 when I was just a very young boy. I thought it was pretty cool too!
My first car was a "71 GT. Great memories of my Dad and I restoring it - I sure would like to have that car back but good to see there are still quite a few on the road.
Should be waaaaay more Likes , you guys are fantastic ! Any wife that knows what or where the Diff is a gear head in my book ! Love the way you say schedule ! From usa here and grew up in seventies , uncle had mg , rx7 , rabbits , etc 👍👍👍
Excellent video! I look forward to seeing more. I’ll be linking it to my Opel Owners USA Facebook page shortly. The GT is beautiful, (so is Megan). I look forward to seeing more videos from you two!
Thanks so much for sharing our video! I have just found it on Facebook, much appreciated! Opel GT Source got in touch to say thank you for their shout out and no doubt that wouldn't have happened without you.
A starter car? As in your first classic car? Depends where you live. In the US or in Germany/Netherlands parts are easy enough to come by but elsewhere you struggle and/or need to import a lot. They're pretty cheap for what they are though so if you want something eye catching for not a lot of money, they're a great place to start
@@retroparadyce8898 ah thank you because soon I will be able to drive but I saw your video and I found an Opel GT for a good price and I wondered what your opinion is?
