There's a way to do it online. But you select mp3 option instead of the mp4 video. I can't type the link, but look for online downloading and you'll eventually find it
"I would like to take this time to issue a formal apology to all the Star Wars fans and indeed every human being on the planet, I'm sorry for Leslye's actions." - Leslye's Sister(the good sister) Edit: corrected typo, plant --> planet, forgot the e. Sorry, I'm slightly inebriated.
Is anyone else having huge troubles with edit button brute force spelling corrections not posting? I hate looking like I don't speak my native tongue but it ain't letting me fix things.
Could you imagine the sister comes out and says, "we actually have a normal relationship together. I don't see ourselves at all in this show she created. I don't know where did she come up with all this? Inspired by what, she sure has a wild imagination", awkward 😅
@@Dave_L913 Welp, I’m glad at least you got some joy out of that. 😅 I respect Mauler massively, and I hope his laugh brought him actual mirth. Even if I unintentionally made him have to think yet again about the pure garbage that was the Sequel Trilogy. If you have any sort of morbid curiosity of how an allegedly literate adult came away with such a wildly different view of the premise, I posted a comment on the subject. The Long Man deserved a long explanation, but to my chagrin Superchats (which I’ve never attempted l before) really don’t allow anything more than a bare bones assertion, with no chance to explain. Who knows? If I’m simply going senile, you might get a laugh out of it. But do be gentle if so. That’s a hard thing to learn.
@@JLEnder I accept that there are ways to pick things apart, and a number of individual character decisions didn’t make sense (and I really wish there had been better setup and explanation for exactly why the Dad died the way he did). My chat was just proposing a motive for the parents choosing to give their kids the best life possible despite the world being doomed. When I saw the first movie, I didn’t get the impression the parents actually thought long-term survival was possible. I could be totally wrong about that, but to me it felt like making their final months, or *maybe* years, as normal and fulfilling as they could manage.
@@WillDreamer Interesting take, very possibly... I actually thought kind of the opposite, they were tending the farm as a means to survival. They didn't live on the waterfall because that's not a long-term strategy, they'd run out of food eventually.
I absolutely hate them. It usually means I have to go home and drink out of the bottle, in my kitchen, sat on the floor, on my own like some alcoholic.
All that stupid stuff with the lightsabers is ridiculous. Star Wars has always kind of been on the line between scifi and fantasy, but they had the technological stuff to make it scifi and it irks me that Disney can't handle that and has to go "hand-waving magic!".
It’s the same with Dr Who. Less sci-fi (read: less male) and more magic (read more female). Inferior writers, therefore, don’t have to come up with a credible explanation and then consistently maintain it.
@@IncredibleMet I'm female and love both scifi and fantasy. But the bigger issue is that good fantasy is possibly harder to write than good scifi because of what you wrote. The assumption is that, if you are working in fantasy instead of scifi, you don't need to follow any rules. For good fantasy, rules are even more important because you have to convince the reader that what's happening works. If you don't decide on the rules, the immersion breaks and the reader is removed from the story. This is why they've doubly messed all this up. They've changed the genre AND they've done so using another genre they can't handle doing well.
Along with a an early attempt at showing us a de-aged Tarkin, although they knew it wouldn't be convincing up close so we only saw him at a distance. The behind the scenes photoa of that prosthetic is a litte uncanny.
My favourite Wolverine is the latest in Deadpool & Wolverine I saw tonight, action, humour & great story, havn't seen the cinema so full for a movie in quite a while.
The classic game boys play is good-guys vs. bad-guys. My son played that a lot from age six to ten with the neighbor boys. They were affirming what's right and wrong and acting out the achievement of good. When I saw that, I was very happy. My son was proud to say he always played the good guy. I encouraged him to play this game. We would talk about the adventures he and his friends had and what happened. It was a great sharing time and important his mother would affirm his ideas of protecting society and doing the right thing. These black and white games and entertainment solidify the foundation of order and law that preserves society and kids' inherent agreement with this idea. Later, he would see in the real world people acting contrary to what he felt was right and wrong; we advanced to talking about that experience. I told him that what mattered was that he knew the difference and should choose to do what's right based on the logic and not ideas that are wishy-washy. All discussions were age appropriate. He wanted once to freeze a roach because he heard it would survive freezing. I told him we were not going to do that because that would be torture, not science. If the roach is eating your Oreo cookies in your kitchen, then the line is crossed and you can kill the roach. I think he understood this difference of right and wrong. Kids need solid examples, not ideology wrapped in a favorite image that goes sideways with what is right.
Regarding people just watching you guys instead of watching the show. That me right there, I haven't got the time to invest in a bad show, I'm 59 and I want to spend my time on things I enjoy, so thanks to all of you youtubers who watch this shit so I don't have to.
They are going to make the stranger into palps. They have already set it up with Rey. He's been shown in the new star wars to have to ability to shift his spirit into a new body.
During ww2 Cap & Logan are trying to save the young Natasha in one of the most epic story arcs where she calls them uncles but as with with Nick Fury they simplified their origins to fit the movies. No de- aging enhancements. Missed opportunities. I would have loved to have seen a sgt Fury movie set in that time. & Black-Widow’s manipulation of Hawkeye… Oh well
100% it would be better on Spotify than RU-vid. Spotify will play in the background if you're doing something else on your phone, can't do that on RU-vid without premium.
Force Unleashed is a *great* (third person action) Star Wars game. I consider it to be ten times better than Uncharted: Star Wars Edition. (jedi survivor) I highly recommend it, it's gotta be cheap as dirt by now. (it's got a sequel too, but it's pretty short)
Flesh Gordon was a bit of a legendary movie when I was a lad, with characters like Flexy Jerkoff and the Emperor Wang and, of course, the penisaurus (or something like that). It was a bit weird (I confess I never saw it) being pulled in two directions at once - actual porn and a "proper" SF movie. Lots of people that I knew said it was way better than the average porno and good fun if you liked SF. Maybe it's due an EFAP - I'm pretty sure it got lots of those back in the day when home video first appeared.
There is a way to present the idea of “bleeding” a kyber crystal properly, as significant and important. They go over it in the Vader comic, it shows up in one of the Cal Kestis games (Jedi Survivor), and the Kylo Ren comic. The Acolyte breaks the canon that Disney had established for this. Bleeding crystals was actually a concept I thought was really cool (one of the VERY few that they’ve implemented) but this most recent addition fucked it up
Batman? Does he even compare to the rest? I guess it depends on your definition of "smarter". Batman's ability to think seems above average, the amount of scientific research he has on recall must be much lower than everyone else's.
It gets the aesthetics right, has a decent space battle, and the superficially cool but dumb Vader scene. Unfortunately that's enough for a lot of people.
I accidentally clicked on a video that I thought was an interesting think piece on the Acolyte Titled 'All stories change; The actual problem' and it's such a good insight into the people that modern Disney crap is made for. The creator very much relies on post modernism and moral relatively as their arguments and goes into a whole bunch of historical myth and legend that she believes was being represented in the show (none of which was actually seen on screen of course) These shows exclude character and plot so that their intended audience can project as much of their own interpretation upon it as possible. It's all concepts and ideas and what ifs, nothing in this creators video actually described what was seen on the screen, every single point was conjecture and reframe. Thats why its so insanely confusing for those of us who appreciate classic storytelling, these newer stories arent stories, they're anti stories, they're theological concepts strewn across a page. It reminds me so much of listening to parables in church as a kid, everyone thought they knew what it meant but no one took away the exact same lesson. Thats why I left the church, too many people claimed that THEY knew what the Bible was saying and would never admit to how much human interpretation impacted their understanding. Woke media is so much like a new religion and the majority of the people who are devout followers dont even see it.
I haven't watched a single episode of the Halo show, and it's probably due to not playing the games, but when I heard it was canceled all I thought was "Aw, now I won't get to listen to EFAP breakdown it's retardation"
The thing is that The Acolyte could have shown a more positive side of the Sith and at the same time point out that the Jedi have their darker side as well. But that would take competent writers, which Headland and her lot clearly aren't. And even if she wanted to pursuit this lesbian space witches idea, she could have had it play out in some far away part of the universe, where the Empire and the Jedi weren't known. The fact that she didn't do that shows the intent behind this trash: both Headland and KK are determined to destroy what Lucas has created. Star Wars fans have pointed out for a long time that Count Dooku wasn't totally evil per sé and that some of his arguments made sense. It was just the way he set out to act on those arguments that made him bad. Which is a clever trick George Lucas has used over and over again: Han Solo isn't a good guy; he's a bad boy who's always been on the edge of good and bad but ends up making the decision to do good things. Lucas' whole point with Han Solo in my opinion, is that Han Solo decided to do good things, but he didn't decide not to become good. And that ambiguity made his character far more interesting, because you kind of always wondered if he wouldn't just turn yet again and fly away when things got really rough.
Bro, a lot of the frames contain such exquisite background shots, small details like sounds and looks at given scenes hinting at there are more to than what is being directly told, literal visual storytelling that lasts a second and then its gone. Go take your meds so can actually concentrate :D
@@identity5196 What are you talking about and what does more focus on environmental storytelling and less exposition have to do with slow dull pacing in a boring uncompelling show?
@@JohnnyBoy7267 Means you actually have to pay attention to feel engaged in this "slow dull uncompelling show". But if you can't see your own bias and taste is influencing your ability to recognize that the pace is quite objectively packed with great characters, philosophical and psychological questions then sorry I can't help you. Being able to engage and discuss with media requires you to recognize what is your own subjective taste and opinion, and differentiate that from what the actual story is showing and telling you and with the amount of discussion to be had from every Frieren episode; philosophical about the nature of death and living with grief. How ones life is changed by small decisions and actions. How to live, act, even kill for your own hopes and dreams. Thats not even touching on the psychological aspect of the characters, Frieren in particular but also who they encounter. But hey you probably watched a couple of episodes on your second monitor with pop music in the background so you're definitely qualified to have a valid opinion. Go watch Rings of Power, it has action!
The state of star wars and cinema in total makes me so depressed. The state of the recent star wars shows just show a small part of the plague that is infesting media nowadays. Another German streamer already said it and I think I as well... Do not care anymore about star wars. That's propably the worst that could happen to a franchise. Also I do not care anymore about marvel stuff. Everything is just really bad. Marvel and star wars weren't master pieces... But at least they were or are watchable. The acolyte gives me brain cancer just by thinking about it. To me, what's even worse is, I start no caring about halo anymore. It's propably my most beloved franchise, but it as well was so much mishandle the last 14 years, I have no trust in anyone to continue this train wreck. Star wars episode 8 and 9 to me show the overall state of the whole industrie: someone starts killing a beloved franchise and another one tries to recover it by ramming it into a wall with 400mph
The Next Gen movies are one of those things that are popular to hate but don't really deserve it. Kirk fan boys got turned off by Generations and never came back.
Wow. That was painful, but I was braced for the possibility. All I could do was hope there would be a few moments of contemplation, but these guys are very, very busy, and they had been recording for 5 hours by the time they got to this. And even after devouring their content for years, and trying to learn from them, they are naturally far more qualified than me. I greatly respect Mauler and usually agree with him. But it’s a bummer that even a $20 super chat has such a tiny character limit. Unable to do much more than throw an idea out there and hope, without getting to make any kind of a case. I would never try to defend the star wars sequel trilogy by saying it’s about trying to live out your final days as civilized people facing the end. Because it isn’t. No case could be made. The sequels were made in bad faith by people who only wanted to undo and replace things. The 3rd Quiet Place film made it the most obvious, with a protagonist who has mere days to live. This is an end of the world scenario which initially has no path forward. No one has any reason to believe that survival can be long term. None. Civilization has fallen, the world is doomed. So… what do you do with your kids? Live outdoors by the waterfall? Tell them every day, “Survive till nightfall so we can do it again”? I guess, when I see board games, pleasant meals, and slowly soundproofing part of their house in prep for a baby, from the start I thought of the mom with her kids on the Titanic. Comfort them. Count the seconds. When the end comes, it will probably be quick, since these monsters can basically insta-kill. So savor the time you have left. Your neighbors are dropping off the grid one by one. Nothing meaningfully works against these monsters. Meds will run out. Resources are non-replenishable. Don’t let your kids into the room where you have the newspaper clippings cuz it will kill their hope. Try to find peace. Everyone’s on borrowed time. Genuinely, what would have happened if the family relocated? You can’t build a house silently, or even set up a tent. You make the family sleep outside. You get sick. Every day is a pointless hell. I guess I should point out that a lot of us have been there. I knew years of hopeless emptiness, and was just trying to find the little joys because I believed there was no way out. In that situation, you savor every second. Again, I love you guys. I look forward to your next uploads.
To anyone reading this, please repent and believe the gospel! There is a loving God who wants to know you and save you. Jesus died on the cross and resurrected so we can be forgiven of our sins and be saved. Please consider the state of your soul. Believe in Jesus and follow Him so you may have salvation. Life is short, please make the right choice today!
I always assumed they were sticking with synthetic crystals for Sith. They were said to be more powerful, but could potentially crack, creating the type of erratic blade Kylo Ren used.
@@MegaSpideymanWell, I can give ya a bit of an answer from the EU. After the Empire established itself, lightsabers were handed down to some, or Jedi could grow a crystal through a lengthy process, like Luke did between 5 and 5, or jewels could be used in place of kyber crystals, though I think that kind of removed that connection a Jedi has with his or her lightsaber that they'd normally have with kyber otherwise. Hope that helps a little.
