I don't watch anything new anymore. I'm watching Chuck again and the moment and it's great! So many great cameos and nerdy references from old movies and shows. Nostalgia done perfectly.
Zendaya was a child fashion model and Disney child actor turned singer who has her own Barbie doll named after her and started her adult career with Spiderman Homecoming and imho has not yet learned how to act
In the game Detroit: Become Human, The Hank and Connor storyline was by far the most intriguing to me. So much so that i would've loved a spin off game with them. Kinda like a buddy cop type game with the choice elements, action and detective segments.
Benchmarking Race, Inclusion, and Diversity in Global Engagement (BRIDGE) - its a global survey group that measures and grades organisations on DEI in particular sectors. It's an alt brand ESG scoring outfit.
Why do so many people believe that adding even more letters to their alphabet soup makes it better? Sure, it’s easier to say Bridge than to say DEI, but it’s *way* harder to remember what it stands for.
I'm now imagining an entire Zack Snider economy which functions via various (needlessly specific) "givers". The farmers sell their wheat to the wheatgiver. The coalgiver is their only source of starship power. The explosivegiver is a must for any military operation.
The synopsis of the crap tennis film was very funny . When you sighed and Mauler started laughing and said " must be a real good script " was my favourite part. Crazy a film like that gets made.
Thanks for reading out my first ever superchat! Sawney Flesh of Man is a modern take on the old Scottish myth of Sawney Bean. It follows a journalist as he uncovers mysterious disappearances. The film was released about 10 years ago now. Made on a 5 figure budget by a small crew in Aberdeen. Would be cool to hear your thoughts Drinker. Full disclosure: I work for the guys who made it, but it was made before I started working with them
@@FrawgfithAmblose She is ok. I just dont get why people are calling her the most beautiful actress and stuff. She is ok in every regard, but nothing more

The new Zendaya movie is funny because you even got Midnight’s Edge going through Mental Gymnastics with how the movie is bombing BUT Zendaya is still a “Star” while Henry Cavil is not and should just give it up already. Don’t know why they hate Henry so much, especially Tom, but to use Zendaya to gaslight is something else! 🤦♂️
I went to the movies last night. What truly describes the depths to which Hollywood has descended is that the only trailer that made me want to see the movie was Despicable Me 4.
I went to see dune 2 a couple of weeks ago. It's crazy what had happened to the theatre now because I was the only person in there. The movie started at 6:30 on a Sunday...
I’m so tired of trailers but it’s largely my own fault for going to the theater 1-3 times a week. Twenty five minutes worth of trailers every time unless it’s a Fathom Event or something akin to it. I hate they push back the showtime for these and all it accomplishes is encouraging people to walk in later and later. Meanwhile, I don’t, and I’m sitting through the same trailers ten times over the course of their runs.
I just thought it was a strange choice to cast somebody who also starred in a film that your movie will obviously draw comparisons to. Every time I saw Til Schweiger, my mind jumped to Inglorious Basterds and I started comparing and contrasting it to MoUW
That film. There are no words. Even omnishambles and clusterfuck fail to capture even a percentage of the God-tier incompetence displayed in the making of this risible bilge.
As a vaguely ok violinist in an amateur way, the fact there are bags on the heads of the musicians is less of an issue than you'd think. Any competent violinist/cellist etc does not need to look at their fingers on the instrument to be able to play it correctly - if you're looking at anything then it's the conductor and the sheet music. You know instinctively after hours of practice where your fingers go to create the notes you need. So if you don't need to look at the music (ie. it's memorised) and there's no conductor, then blindfolded or not shouldn't make a sizeable difference to any trained musician. It does look bloody weird though, but hey, this is Synder where vaguely weird = omg so cool and original.
Roger Moore is my favourite Bond, Danial Craig is my least favourite, he's more like Jason Bourne than James Bond. I'd argue the whole character of James Bond is a campy version of Ian Fleming, who was a real spy. Bond is a trope of a spy, what we "think" spies are like. That's why Austin Powers works as a satirical version of Bond done to the nth extreme.
They keep trying to frame Zendaya as this 10/10 goddess looking woman. I think she’s attractive, but in a “strong 7” sort of way. Being black probably helps
Idk the lore of the revolver thing, but the holes where the bullets are seated are called the chambers, but the whole housing is called the cylinder lol
Asimov has some good robot characters. I always felt bad for Herbie (RB-34) in the short story “Liar!”. Daneel Olivaw is also a good one although I don’t know how much of a character he has. He’s more of a vehicle to explore Baley’s anti robot sentiments.
I remember when that came out. It was told from the Russian perspective. It was the first time I had ever seen a World War II movie told from that perspective.
Bender, Data and Roy Batty. They are androids ( male humanoid robots). The T-8000 (terminator) looks like an android but is apparently a cyborg as they are said to have organic and biochematronic parts. Other famous cyborgs without a doubt are Robocop and Darth Vader.
The Langoliers was a fun tv miniseries about being nudged just a bit out of time and witnessing the mechanics of the devouring of the past by mystical metal pac men. Cousin Balky was villainous.
Riddy piper ...THEY LIVE...also..when you accept garbage joker films..it creates the delusion of wanting worse joker sequels..and tripe excuses for penguin films and so-called batman films
I've never heard of Til Schweiger til now. I asked my German wife her thoughts, and straight away, she says he is a jerk who is full of himself. Guess it is a thing.
Hear me out, you could power a space ship with coal if you traverse space via big space fannies. There's no friction in space to slow you down. The furnace would drive the steam turbines, stirling engines and boil all the pissy & grey water. Plus coal would be on most planets that had carbon or burn anything in that furnace. You also need a lot of heat in space as it's fucking cold. The film is still bolloccks though.
Hey, I sent 2 $5 super chats to this open bar and, for whatever reason, the questions didn't popped up. In the chat, I don't know if it went through it got pushed down or the questions were flagged inappropriately. I just want to know, so I could change it.
If you can't see my reply, then my advice on your chat question is to bring it up on the Drinker's next stream a @ a mod, who would have a 🔧 next to their name.

23:00 WHY did i watch Challengers? Because it was AWFUL and got me a ton of views lol and it's even worse than Madame Web I can't believe how much fun i had making fun of it and hearing Maulers laugh says it all 🤣
The Ghibli creator is on record as saying the majority of anime is bullshit and he thinks of his stuff as movies that happen to be animated. He's also an asshole, but still, that quality gap is real.
I liked Peaky Blinders at first but then I started to feel like they were just making whatever they want happen and the writing wasn't justifying it. Kind like "Lost" just pulling whatever they want out of the writer's arse. Not to the same degree of course, but still that same kind of feel.
I'm sorry but I don't get the Zendeya hate, like most the issues you're listing are just personal bemusement and I check out cuz there's no real basis for your criticism, like she's no worse than most other actresses around and I think in Dune she fits the bill pretty well, certainly not bad enough to feel apathetic over a 3rd movie, most people rise above that, and even though the plot to Challengers resembles a crummy soap opera you can't really comment on its merits as a piece of filmmaking if you're just connecting the dots and drawing your own conclusions from the precious little you've glanced at or preconceived bias
One film I would like you to do a review on is WALK THE LINE (2005) 🤠. Between the great music and the historical reality, that is something you could make a good review of.. 🤠
It was fun to look at, that's about it. The plot is typical modern nonsensical crap and I wasn't emotionally engaged with any of the characters. I don't really care about them. If anyone died it wouldn't bother me much. Everyone's just typical beta people these days, no strong interesting people like Sarah Connor or Riply.
I think a Tarantino Star Trek movie would have been amazing. I was sad it didn’t happen. He seems to really like the franchise and I felt he would have done well.
I wonder what it'd look like if Tarantino took it really seriously and wrote on-brand with the original series. Like his writing in Once Upon a Time... is surprisingly low on quips and cursing because he's capturing the way people talked back then in that culture; a Star Trek thing with the vibe of how Leo and Brad talk to each other would actually be on-point for the old series I don't think it'd be original or creative, but Tarantino's recreation of the old vibes would remind people just how good the first runs were.
@@samwallaceart288 I think he could have pulled it off and it’s a shame we’ll never see it. Even if it wasn’t good, it would have been better than whatever Paramount decides to do with it next.
Its not about Till Schweiger in particular, German Cinema and people like Till are pushing domestic Cinema in the bootleg, ripoff, bullshitty Hollywood direction, and their Films are getting worst with every single one
