I think the plot where Kirk and McCoy go over would still work even if they hadn't chose to go over there themselves. Because if it had been other officers that had been sent in their place, the Klingons would have arrested them, then Kirk would have had to negotiate for their release. So one way or another Kirk was going to be in a position where he was going to get nabbed. The issue with the Bird of Prey getting tracked is addressed in the novelization. They could only track the BoP because it could fire while cloaked. It was a weakness of that particular vessel. The novelization also mentions the shop is a death trap: it pumps out so much radiation into the ship that everyone is about to be dying terribly.
There are a lot of good points put forward here, but use of language like “thing” and “mentally ill” are not a good look for any of you. It turns your argument into hate.
I'm the son of a former farmer with a family line and extended family consisting of little more than farmers (honourable mention for a president and parliament speaker), and regularly visit a friend on his farm. Clarkson's bureaucracy issues are insane. In South Africa, you just do whatever you want with your farm. Nobody gives a shit. That episode in season 2 where they were concerned about mud on the tarred road? I was genuinely in disbelief
I was shocked that Mauler had not seen Star Trek VI! How old is he? Drinker would've been 8 when it came out. And it was well into TNG's run, so Star Trek fans were excited to see the "Final Voyage" of the Real Enterprise crew. 4 is kind of a sidequest in the story, but 2, 3 & 6 form a really tight and highly entertaining ST "trilogy". Kramer was right: Star Trek 3 is criminally underrated. Ricardo Montalban chews a lot of scenery, but Spock comes back to life in the next film. So it's hard to beat Doc Brown's Klingon for effective Villainry. Killing Kirk's son is a big part of what makes VI so good. And when Kirk is kicking Klingon Doc in the head and says "I. HAVE HAD, ENOUGH...OF YOU!!!" brilliant, top 5 Kirk moment. Kirk loses his Son and his Ship in 2 hours, now THAT is Drama!
About the graffiti, I belive it was international, but for the rest of the normal world, hard r means obligatory R rating, for nudity and gore for example, not some slang thing from one part of the world. How egocentric you need to be, to think that some Asian guy definitely wants to curse at you?
TWOK is my favorite of all trek films and Undiscovered Country is of course #2, but it holds a special spot as I saw it opening day (Dec 6th, 1991) with my grandparents who are the ones that got me hooked on the TOS crew. TNG was already a Saturday evening mainstay in our house each week. Weird to me that was 33 years ago, yet this film is so timeless, it doesn't feel like it at all.
Space Babies and off notes with only the Beatles saving the day LOL, if the series is going to bomb, at least ONE episode is about the new Doctor stepping on a landmine LOL...
Ok... Can someone confirm... Is it just me, or does Ryan have like, the most HUGE 5 head... Maybe 6 head. That aint no Forehead. My dear God, its even worse than it normally is on Friday Night Tights
DRINKER... PLEASE... IF you jave shad on ever. Please out is name in the title... I been lloking for this for days. If you could that would be great bro
I LOVE Clarkson's Farm. The first season was immaculate. Him learning these things with Kaleb yelling at him the whole time and Jeremy trying to talk with Gerald is pure gold. Lightning in a bottle that they keep producing. Shout out to Gerald beating the big C though too. He's a national treasure and if the UK doesn't think so, I'll take him here in the US.
The opening conversation kind of sounded like a group of 20 year olds pretending to agree on having a lesbian fetish because they think that's what heterosexual men are supposed to say, and they still haven't quite lost the high school mentality of fear of being called a homosexual.
Why do I kinda think the writer's of this show are going to pin everything on S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Like vaultgirl has max luck, b.o.s dude has max charisma and so on.😅
In this era there where still galleys for making food, there was properly cooked meals. The food synthesizer seen in the TOS series was like a high tech vending machine that crew could grab a drink, snack or meal. The replicators came later in TNG era. But i agree it pretty odd to have a phaser locker in the galley, guess they wanted a room where there could destory something that wasnt critical, they could have done it a meeting room and destoryed one of the chairs.
I saw the movie it has some good action and comedy specially the dog- but the story seemed forever to get started - the whole scene with parking car stunt could have been cut- they should have made it about shooting some generic action movie- no sci fi spectacular which might have been cheaper
Maximus is the worst to me because he's the least honest...until maybe the midpoint when he confesses who is really is. Everyone else is true to their nature. The hero is naive and a little dumb, the villains have only survival on their mind but Maximus is the least truthful and it makes him more despicable than even the killers!
Damn, I enjoyed this! Listening to you two talk about these films (even the not-so-great ones) was very entertaining. Like watching it with old friends. Thank you!
Why doesn't Wilzig bring Lucy to vault 4 when he meets her that first night? He obviously knows a hella lot about the wasteland, it could've saved everyone the trouble of cutting off his head and carrying it to the finale!
Isn’t this a game that came out just a few years ago? A multiplayer / party game. That’s what I thought anyway. Edit: yes that’s what I thought, Fall Guys on PlayStation. No wonder this flopped who would want to see a movie based on this game.
I actually thought the 'new' Tomb Raider missed the mark by only barely adapting the 2013 game -- had they stuck to the crazy core of that story, it would have been a much more satisfying film.
