I was trimming out these really nice doctors home and was putting in all craftsman trim with a header piece I make! I am on a 4’ ladder at the top , full belt on & was writing down all my numbers doing my math? Totally forgot I was on the top step of the ladder and stepped right off! I hit the floor hard all 200 pounds and boys I am way older than you! I drove my Tri- Square about a 1/2” into my back I think my rib stopped it! Bounced up mad ! Picked up my stuff finished the job bleeding all over! Still hv a scar like a stab wound! I was 64 ! Still hv dark hair never ever dyed it and still plow out a hard days work! Never say die! You truly crack me up, said wait till Friday's video and said just watch, well I did, and it went pretty much how I thought it would. The cracks and the crown molding are because you let the structure sag. To say in your area and I don't care where you are any structural change made to a dwelling is permitted and engineered. To just think what you did made it better is insane talk from your comments. You said I had a lot to say in the last video well I have more for you, no structural screws to bond the two beams together, no support in the basement to carry the beam transfer points before you took your hack temp wall down. This video will be sent to the local building code official and the State as I believe there is no way your licensed for this work, and to say you made it better when in fact you're putting this client in true danger is a sin. Any structural changes to a dwelling in the US require engineering plans and permits as well as electrical and plumbing permits. Thank you for putting this video out as evidence to your negligence and ignorance, the state of Kentucky has now been informed of violations with 2015 IBC, 2015 IEBC, 2015 IMC, I know you don't know these acronyms or there meaning but people who run a legitimate business remodeling do before putting people's lives in danger, do you even know how much load your corner post is carrying, no you don't because it wasn't engineered. Hopefully you permitted the pool build when they come to visit your NEGLAGENCE!!!!

@@michaelmcneill9006 brother you are ate up. The fact that you have nothing better to do is astounding. These beams are all put together with a approved GK screws. There is a full length beam across the basement with a support underneath transferring the load to the foundation and we fixed the bow in the ceiling by putting this full length header in hence why the crown molding is wanting to separate slightly, hence making it better then before. On top of there is very minimal weight that this beam is holding but you couldn’t possibly know or understand that because you weren’t even there. either way you can do whatever you want as it appears you have plenty of time to spew negativity.

@@jonport_ Love your pool builds but don't confuse fact for negativity. Any good construction / remodeler or builder can see the weight this beam is holding. I know you don't because you think a ridge beam takes care of all downward force per your previous video, which is incorrect, all downward force needs to be compensated with the appropriate lateral force, this is why trusses are used or collar ties. You think that a suspended ceiling has no issue with weight or load distribution is just insane, or transfer points to the foundation below where the load is being transferred to is mind blowing. Be sure to show your nonexistent permits of engineered plans for this in your next video or better yet when the state when the state comes to WETSCAPES and wants an accounting for this video to inspect the project, let us all know how that works out on your video. @@johnstevenson1568 they don’t require 1 but that doesn’t mean we just do whatever. I feel good about how everything turning out. Especially since we ripped out the wall, there was so many loose two by fours and headers we definitely made it a lot stronger.

Dude said he’s been building since he was 5 but says he’s just gonna start cutting tops out and see what happens and hopes he has enough supports in. At least you documented all this for the homeowner for their suit when it fails but then again they clearly went with the cheapest guy so shouldn’t expect anything more.

@@jonport_ where you try claiming the original beam was cut short and stuff and that’s the reason for the sag and stuff? Or the part where you try convincing your audience anything about the work you do is quality?
