how to disassemble and clean your Dyson V7 and V8 0:40 disassmble bin 13:15 disassemble filter and cyclone 30:50 remove and disassemble back filrer 32:10 remove battery
This is literally the only video on internet right now actually demonstrating the full teardown of the v8 dust bin (the disassembly of the gray intake pipe from the clear bin). Very valuable information, since it shows that the product is designed in a way not to disassemble it - since, when doing so, the breakage of the plastic tabs is inevitable. Can you please let me know if the same applies when trying to disassemble the orange rod (pipe) and its' electrical connector? I soked the rod in the water and now I need to try to dry the electrical components inside!
The only video showing how to disassemble the dust bin. Thank you, it took me quite some scrolling to find this video! I was close to losing my hope ;) But now I also understand why there are no videos of this...
Don't use the thin plastic bits (guitar picks you've used I guess) when removing the outside cylindrical mesh, because that can damage the rubber lip seal. Instead just gently wiggle it round and round and it will come off. Otherwise a good video.
Thanks for this video! My dustbin became absolutely filthy, and I have to take the red seal off to clean it. Is there a way to take it off without taking the grey bit off (where the wires are)?
Thank you for this! My red inlet flap somehow became detached and I could not figure out how to disassemble to put back. No I know why as you have to 'break' the tabs :(. Dumb design @ 5:00
I am wondering why that transparent piece of plastic broke of (07:16). I had exactly the same. It is the mounting of the middle screw, but the screw was already removed. So why did it break?
Okay, that explains it for your situation. Maybe mine was already broken before I started to disassemble it. We will never know. In any case, I was able to superglue it back in place, so problem solved. Thanks for you helpfull video!
Yea. What the crap. Mines turning off after a couple of seconds on max suction... I replace filters and battery. Pretty sure I need to open that part amd clean the motor as it's most likely over heating...
