I was trying to do this on my own, but I couldn’t get the thing apart. The second I heard “under the label” I cursed every inch of Dyson. Thanks for the video.
Phenomenal video, have this Dyson and not a lick of trouble for about 5 years I think. The the handle cracked due to stress. This helped with replacing the handle/trigger assembly!! Well done!!!
I am wondering why that transparent piece of plastic broke of (07:16). I had exactly the same. It is the mounting of the middle screw, but the screw was already removed. So why did it break?
Okay, that explains it for your situation. Maybe mine was already broken before I started to disassemble it. We will never know. In any case, I was able to superglue it back in place, so problem solved. Thanks for you helpfull video!
I have an issue with my dyson v11, it is just making noise kind of pulse and stops. Tried to remove as much as I can, can not disassembly one with cables, there is no place where I can put plain screwdriver to pop out grey plastic. Tried to blow with compressor as much as I can. P.S. if I put back filter shall it work without front?
most likely your filter requires cleaning. you can confirm this by looking at it with the sun. the filter is white, if it looks gray it has dirty in it. the vacuum works without the front on and only needs the motor battery and filter to work
I am female and 71. Your video empowered me With the ability to work on my HP ENVY 23-1065! I upgraded the hard-drive to 4TB and now have 16GB Ram. I'm also installing a new OS...Linux Zorin. Thank you for your help! Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks...HAH! 😊
I needed to replace the purple gator that is located in the top of the head. No-one seems to take that step in their explanations but following your directions, I got to the point where I could unclip the old split one and replace it. Only two additional screws in the neck to locate the other end and then reassembly as you showed. Thanks for putting this up. 👌👍
muy buena la explicación, pero te falló que montaste mal el plástico transparente y el motor quedó suelto lo cual produce una fuerte vibración a la hora de ponerlo de nuevo en funcionamiento.
nope as you not meet to open it up. so they dont sell that part. you might be able to find it on ebay or get it from an old machine as they all use the same connector from the gen 5 detect, v15 to the V6
How do I remove the grey tube compartment from the basket? The piece that connects to the adapters. I ask because I noticed condensation behind and possibly mold.
@@OpenMeUpTec yes. 4:10. It’s the dust bin attached to the grey adapter. You will see from behind that as the dust gets deposited into the clear bin over time it leaves a residual layer of dirt and mold lodged inside the receiving end.
Taught was just very simple. What i expected was, how to disassemble everything including motherboard, mouse, keyboard, etc. pls go deeper not this very simple. No need to be taught either
Thanks man, this video helped me repair the vacuum myself with a €9 part, instead having to pay for an outside of warranty repair or perhaps even buy a whole new one.
The only video showing how to disassemble the dust bin. Thank you, it took me quite some scrolling to find this video! I was close to losing my hope ;) But now I also understand why there are no videos of this...
only the CPU is removable. since the laptop uses the INTEL HD graphics for everything beside special stuff like games you can replace this and it should work. i have seen many of these laptops with faulty nvidia gpus on them but you still can use them with the INTEL HD graphics
@OpenMeUpTec oh, i might be able to get an upgrade out of it too?! I think i have seen these were offered with a few different variations of the chip it has.
@@SkankRemix3 honestly it is better off just to bin it as it is too old. it is not worth anything and it is not worth fixing. the highest thing you can put in it was a i7 4700hq. this is what the one in the video had
@@SkankRemix3 this is a 15 year old laptop thats the issue. yes it might work and still do stuff you want. since it is old, other stuff will soon start to break inside.
I've had two units, and the purple seal was protruding out so much that it worked itself out with normal use. Now the replacement unit still have that gasket sticking out, so eventually it will fail also. Very poor design.
🤦🏻♀️ Oh Jesus 4:39 seconds in and this guy doesn’t even know what his tools are called 😶. Nose grip pliers mate. As for the rest of your instructions….. second by second I was losing confidence when you couldn’t describe the objects you were holding in your hand eg:- ‘This’ 🤦🏻♀️ Thanks but I will check out another video where the guy IS NOT forcing the plastic hinge on the inside of the filter with an ice cream spoon 🥄 and suggesting it “doesn’t matter if you break one because there are still two left”. This little machine cost a fortune!!! I’m not going to “shove a spoon under the bracket” when I can replace the filter for a couple of pounds. Eejit! Oy! 🤦🏻♀️🫣😳
Sound and pronounciation could’ve been better but other than that grateful for the run through. Many of the cables on my sample wasn’t readily detachable where I would have appreciated guidance in how to proceed without damage risc.
Thanks for this video! My dustbin became absolutely filthy, and I have to take the red seal off to clean it. Is there a way to take it off without taking the grey bit off (where the wires are)?
Omg THANK YOU!!!! Two rings from one end of the canister popped out and no other disassembly video went into as much detail as you. The pieces are finally back in place!! 😭🎉
@@pamelad4116 what problems you having. it is not going in or when you close it it pops out again. when you close it and it is popping out you might have broken the clips. if you cant close it then your alignment is out
