A beauty spatula or beauty spoon would be great to have to do this too. It, itself is reusable and washable, then you can also keep the popsicle sticks and q-tips out of the landfill too :)

Thank you. It worked on Clarins bottles. The stuff we buy is so expensive and it's nice to be able to use every last drop.

Yes. It's good to recycle. These bottles are very good for use long after the product is gone.

So please to find your video. I have just started using ByTerry foundation pump with a built in brush - a bit like a giant Touch Eclat. Hoping to reuse when it runs out - looks like I should be able too. You're a star!

Sure! Thanks for asking. Use Caution. Watch how I do it. Notice how I wiggle the blade in very gently.

You're doing this with a flexible plastic bottle. What about a glass or hard plastic bottle that isn't flexible?

Hello :) if you are only refilling with say half a bottles worth, do you still push the plastic inside right to the bottom and then fill and pump the extra air out, or do you need to push it down to the exact level of whatever the product is that you are filling it with? Hope that makes sense Thanks in advance! Katie
@HanieBCreations
@HanieBCreations 10 лет назад
Hi, I'm thinking you can just push down to the point you need. As you pump the product wont come out until the extra air in the bottle escapes first. Hope that helps you.

I am from Malaysia. Thank you for sharing! I always wonder how do I possibly open up these pump bottles to recycle, it is a waste to have them in the trash. Also, the facial products that we buy are so expensive and so little, and I want to use them to the very last drop, and the only way is to open them up. I tried using a precision flat screwdriver, it scraped off the edge of the bottle. The one you use looks more study and heavy, may I know what is that pls?

It's called an exacto utility knife. Use CAUTION, and watch how I use it to open. They are VERY sharp!

Strange. Your instructions include "take this" without explaining what "this" is or anything about what size instrument needed to make removing the top work. Not helpful.
@HanieBCreations

+Amber Teacup Thanks for your comment. I appreciate you pointing out the details, and sharing your perspective on how I can improve my video demonstrations. I did forget to mention what "this" is, while recording. However, I have included a list of items one will need in order to obtain the goal of opening the bottles located in the description box. Anyone that has ever used an exacto knife knows what they look like. It's not as if I produced a radio version here. One should be able to "clearly SEE" and figure out for oneself that in order to open the bottle you will know it's going to require a very thin, sharp object to pry the two pieces apart. I'm not here on YT to be a salesman nor do I claim to be an expert with the intention of SELLING the viewer on anything. I'm just here to share my ideas with others. Sorry you didn't find it helpful. I will take your criticism in the most positive manner. Despite you say it was; “strange” and not "helpful" I'll just bet you DID learn that Neutrogena bottles could be opened and reused; which was the point, and the intention. I wish you a beautiful day! HanieB.

HanieB.(C.~)reations No need to get defensive. I thought the same thing when I watched the video. You made a tutorial without telling what you were doing. I had no clue what that item was so it would have been nice to be told during the video instead of having to search for the answer.

Hi thanks for commenting! I don't disagree with you. I was new to video instructing, recording, editing etc.. The video was made over 3 years ago. Uploaded in 2013. I was just sharing ideas not paid or doing product placement as so many Y-tubers do. YT has since improved editing functions for content creators. I'll have to do a little editing with YT's easy editing function on this and drop in a note to help viewer experience. Thanks again for commenting it served as a reminder to add a note description overlay! ;) I'll fix it this week! Have a Creative Day!
