Note: this video is already slightly outdated as you no longer need to zero out or reference the motors. Simply reset + enable and it works. ( but pay attention to the reference flag as it must be true otherwise reboot or reference may be required.

Nice that you've keep the AR4 in your software even though you ran into some issues. The frame and builder tabs look pretty interesting. One request for these longer videos, can you add chapters/timestamps for the salient sections?

Thanks! Yeah I wanted to make sure it could still be an option to control the AR robot as well. The socket interface is the same so I figured it would be easy to keep! And yeah I wanted to also make it easy for people to play and learn, which is why I added those other tabs.

hi, great works, thanks a lot! But i have a question that when you set position as 20, goal position is set 20.33 and feedback of encoder pulse position set as 20.09. why? how can we increase accuracy of driver? is it possible with serial commnunication? thx.

I got error 404 in cookbook section, I try to make my own waypoint and save the waypoints, should i connect the robot first? i dont have the robot yet

This should work with the AR3 and AR4 but you need tor run the servo code ( on my gitbub ) on a raspberry pi that is connected to the teensy. Also you need to flash the teensy following the instructions in this readme github.com/joepuzzo/servo . And wire it according to this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8eRtpqL2cjY.html

@@robotjs The reason that I am really interested in this program is because I would like to see the possibility of allowing the AR3 to read angular positions from an excel file. Do you think that would be possible with this program?

@@WinningBURRIT0 Honestly not sure about the 3.6 I have not tried that. A teensy 4.1 is very cheap tho so if you need it should be easy to get. In terms of reading from excel file what is goal? You want to feed in Cartesian coordinates from rows in an excel file? If so I mean that should be doable you would need to write some code though. Currently the software can read in recipies and actions from recipies and action file ( these are just JSON files with arrays of commands ) you would just need to convert the excel to that.

Its all open source so sure! basically just look at this file github.com/joepuzzo/igus-motor-controller/blob/main/src/server.js and this file github.com/joepuzzo/servo/blob/main/src/server.js They are examples of two peices of code that run on a raspberry pi and translate the commands sent from the UI into whatever you need them to do. So you would write your own server that can subscribe to socket events and translate to your robots joints.

Also just to add to this. The architecture I chose here is robot viewer runs in browser and communicates via trivial socket.io connection. The robot code runs on a rasperry pi and is different code depending on the robot but the interface is the same ( commands that get sent ). So all you would need to do is write your own little package and adhere to the interface :)
