Nice build I m thinking of a lead 1050 setup for my workshop in spain for small but high quality work hence the lead.... would love 1075 just no space....
Thank you! I understand space can be an issue when working with a larger machine, but thats the beauty of the OpenBuilds Modular System, you can alter the size of these machines to fit your needs. Black Friday is happening now, definitely a great time to get your machine: openbuildspartstore.com/blackfriday2019/ 👍
@@OpenBuilds building a 1075 Lead Screw over Christmas and New year 2019, finished mechanical build now moving onto electrics tomorrow... I made space in the end and have not regretted it, the extra 25cm makes a big difference to what you can do so I'm glad i made the space but not that I topped by budget but thats life....All going together very nicely thanks to the build videos. Which wires are you used for connecting the power supply. Is it 18 gauge shielded speaker wires.I already order power supply and blackbox and connectors. But i am confusing what kind of wires using for blackbox ( 4 conductor wires) and power supply ( 2 conductor).
The power supply uses 2 wire with the ground on the left side looking down from the top of the BlackBox. Please take a look at the docs here to see the simple wiring instructions - docs.openbuilds.com/doku.php?id=docs:blackbox:connect-psu
Yes, basically you would bypass the v+ option on the xtension limit switch and just wire up the ground and signal. The v+ is power to the LED signal light on the limit switch. 👍
Thank you! The BlackBox is only a 3 axis controller with the options for 1 clone axis ( in your case Y1/Y2) adding an additional X axis is possible if it is moving with the original X axis, (so you would share the same motor port with two motors). The BlackBox has powerful drivers pushing a max of 4A, so as long as you stick with the standard Nema 23 Motors you should be fine.

My first build and using the open builds black box. After watching the video I only have one question. Where does the 2nd dc output connect into? One is the power supply and I can't pick up where the other connects to. Thanks in advance for clarifying.
Hi Tony not sure if this question was answered for you. The secound DC output is really just an extra output. So lets say you have a laser that runs on 24V you could use it for that or just leave it off no harm. Hope this helps
Designed a file in Paint, imported it into the CAM software but want to adjust the size of the image? Can I do it in the CAM software after I have it imported?
We try to simplify the process for new users; A+/A-/B+/B- describes the coil pairs in the motor, but based on the orientation of the wire color order it's unnecessary to describe the coils in A+/A-/B+/B- manner. Check out the documentation here for a more detailed explanation: docs.openbuilds.com/doku.php?id=docs:blackbox:faq-identify-motor-coils
