Tom's action looks solid and as a tall off spinner could be a handful. Would thoroughly reccomend against going round and through to left handers though with his front on action. It forces you to bowl more side on, whereas staying round he can vary his position on the crease more and keep consistency up.

Hello Wheatley - greetings from Poland An enjoyable match. Congratulations to Welbeck. I thought the game was evenly matched. Again, catches win matches with a good opening partnership to form an excellent base. I really hope we improve.

Im a Cricket Coach based in Mansfield, Level 3. Happy to offer some advice or consultation. More on the mentality side rather than technical as I think thats where the issues are laying. 🏏

Run outs are the curse of any team but both sides also struggled with catching. It feels like you are desperately struggling to force your way out of tough situations with big hitting. Mind - most of us do that when we see the ball tossed up :)

Got to say it's a shame everyone seemed to be throwing their wicket away with massive aeriel shots, nice to watch some cricket though! Our saturday game got cancelled :(

Disappointing finish to first innings lads, got back on top after great opening partnership and then let it slip again. The opening spell by opening bowler in first innings was impressive, too good for batters with seam bowling.

If I was captain or coach (if u have one), I would be raging at that performance. Bowling looks a bit powderpuff at the moment, though Tom looked like he could be useful if he bowled more and got into a rhythm. Clearly missing Cal Harrison who looked from what I have seen a level above a few of the lads currency playing. Some of the decisions in the 2nd innings there dearie me !

That left hand opener not sure why you let him hit so many offside boundaries early on? If he is going hard and wicket is good put out a sweeper ro make those 1 or 2 not 4.

I joked about it last season but I now we've think we've reached a point where you need to submit video evidence to the league committee and appeal for Jono to either use a slightly larger ball or batters to have a slightly wider bat so that one day....who knows when....some bugger might actually edge one of his deliveries. The only "nicks" he sees are the two veterans in the outfield. Really has become ridiculous now. Decent bowling though and a good opening stand, loved the carved 6 over extra cover and George's imperious lofted straight drive especially. Only broken by a spurious run out to my eye....looked like gloves alone breaking the wicket from sleepy Sussex (happens quickly and not suggesting anything dishonest from Welbeck's keeper). Unlucky for Toby to be caught "amidships" as they say before his dismissal, hope matron was on hand to apply some soothing lotion afterwards. Keep going lads, may be just crumbs but you always provide terrific entertainment.

Suspect I'm stating the obvious here but giving up 250 is not a winning strategy. Great reply undone by poor decision making when sensible batting was required. Something Wheatley ultras are all too familiar with - a collapse is always around the corner. On the subject of Wheatley Ultras - what is the collective name for hardcore NWCCTV supporters? Peck's Propagandists? Wheatley Washing Line Watchers (the 3Ws?) Looking forward to the excavations of the mounds at extra cover. What could be buried there? Mansfield Man? Wheatley's form? Mad Dog? Superb looking ground and facilities. Outfield looked lightning fast for a soggy UK. Am sure that added another 50 runs to their total so you really only lost by 20.

By definition the professional player is better than the usual class players would there be no chance of Connor opening the batting in order to face as many balls as possible in the innings especially when chasing almost two hundred and fifty
