Comin' Home (Zakk Wylde) Improvisation (Charlie Daniels) Down South Jukin' (Bret Michaels) Mississippi Kids (Tom Keifer) Things Goin' On (Donnie Van Zant) Made In The Shade (Travis Tritt) Ballad Of Curtis Loew (Peter Frampton)
For all you people saying Bret don't fit in he does. He's up for love of Lynyrd Skynyrd. As is every person on that stage. As a life long Skynyrd fan, you can feel it. This is one of the best Skynyrd related videos on the internet
If you have never seen a show at the Fox Theatre in ATL, please put it on your bucket list. It is one of the finest venues anywhere. It's history alone is worth the price of a ticket regardless of who is playing.
my first time ever at the Fabulous Fox (1981, Ozzy & Randy, opening act was Def Leppard when Pete Willis was still with them & Rick Allen had 2 arms), I may or may not have been on some type of mind-altering chemicals & for years I thought I hallucinated the twinkling stars & moving clouds on the ceiling it's a beautiful theater. from what I remember.
@@RobGrognerd Maybe so but there are stars and clouds on the ceiling giving the appearance of a clear roof. The acoustics are extraordinary. The history of the Fox Theatre and the events held there are legendary. Lynyrd Skynard played the 3 nights in 1976 which became thier live album One more from the road. I was there all 3 nights and still have my ticket stubs framed. I was also at this show in 1993. Promoter Alex Cooley who owned clubs in Atlanta and promoted concerts was instrumental along with Lynyrd Skynard in saving the Fox. I've lost count of the show's performers and bands I saw at the Fox. It is DEFINATELY a beautiful theatre.
Zakk Wylde nailed it man!!!! Charlie killed it! Travis Tritt......the new note finder, soulful southern fire string pickin who's on another level of talent!!
I was at this show at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Was a killer show!My favorite song was Dale Rossington and Travis Tritt singing “Don’t Misunderstand Me” Rossington-Collins cover.
Lynyrd Skynyrd played at the Fox 3 nights in 1976 and recorded thier live album, One for the road". Has to be the best 3 nights of music I have ever seen. One More from the Road is a live album by Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, capturing three shows recorded in July 1976 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Since 1974 Lynyrd Skynyrd had supported rock promoter Alex Cooley so that the theatre could be saved from demolition.
We had a local rock station in Birmingham broadcast this concert live with no interruptions. For years I had all this recorded on cassette tape. So glad I found this video!

This show was recorded and put on pay per view in 1993 . It had nothing to do with 'Freebird The Movie "That movie was released in 97 . They are promoting the new album The Last Rebel. Do your homework people .
@@sammyprice9448 Released in 1996 not 1997. Take your own advice. Freebird... The Movie is an in-depth look at Southern rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Released on August 30, 1996, it is part documentary and part concert footage.
That wasn’t an improvisation Charlie was playing. It was one of Skynyrd’s lesser-known songs (but with the first lyric altered slightly). It’s called When You’ve Got Good Friends. Good song!
Actually it was one of the last songs ever recorded with the original band. It was recorded but unreleased in 1977 right before the crash. Then in 1987 they released it with the tribute band.
First thing I think of when I see Peter Frampton is ...kindness. Amazing, considering after the release of Frampton Comes Alive, he was solo up in that stratosphere. :)
I wonder if the audience knew that this line up was opening? When I saw Skynyrd in ‘91 the opening act was the Georgia Satellites & as I recall we had no idea they were on the bill. Worked out very nicely though.
I was at this concert. One of the best shows I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. Skynyrd blew the doors off the place. They sold out 3 nights....first time they had played the Fox Theater since the plane crash. Their 1976 live album, One More From the Road, was recorded here. The first of the 3 shows was on pay per view, which was the one I was at. Interesting fact....despite the title of this video, this was not the opening act. The opening act was actually a father and his 3 sons. I wish I could remember what they called themselves. They were BAD ASS. The dad played lead guitar, his teenage son played guitar and was lead singer, and the other two sons played bass and drums.
