Opening & Cleaning Pismo Clams | Shucking Clams 

This video shows how to open and clean Pismo clams. After catching the clams, we let them soak in ocean water overnight. The clams will spit out some of the sand, but not all of it. After cutting open the clam, we rinse out the remaining sand, shuck it, cut out the undesirable parts, then pack it.
