It's finally opening day of hunting season and Matt heads out early in the morning to get after some doves before work. He hits up some public land and manages a pretty good morning shoot until he has to leave. Not to mention, the 28 gauge worked like a charm.

High Prairie Sportsmen The 10k subs race looks pretty stinkin close. It’s gonna happen fast as dove and teal starts. What was the bet again? Wasn’t there a no boots/no waders challenge? Maybe some goofy facial hair? I can’t recall, but have popcorn ready and watching every post!

High Prairie Sportsmen 😂😂 I’d say 9.28 to 9.16 at this point in the season is like field goals. I think it’s gonna be a close finish. I’m not a betting man, but NE has a teal edge over IN. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤫🤣

28ga is so cool! I'm kind of liking the shorter video format. I've used that a few times, they seem to be faster paced with more action, and less fluff. Great vid dude, as usual!

I never used a 28ga looks good and fun to shoot i grew up shooting 16 gauge witch is not around anymore with a 2 3/4 shell you can't beat the pattern spread and the power is equal to a 12ga, a 20ga with 3 inch shell is equal. And 16ga was all ready on it's way out when 20ga came out with the 3 inch.

In NC the opening day of dove season is the first Saturday or Labor Day which ever comes first

I went out today with no decoys in hopes for some passing shots.. Saw a lot of birds! I'd like to get some decoys... but I might go again tomorrow... think I could use my mallard mojo or is that too big?

What's your thoughts on 28 gauge vs. .410? I've be eyeing an over and under .410!

Depends what you want it for. Nontoxic 410 shells might be a little tougher to find. But I love my 28
