I am actually going through a conundrum right now. I was convicted of a violent misdemeanor in 2021 which I was sentenced to 1 year of non reporting probation. In my state, I have to wait until August of this year to get it expunged. I have been jobless for 4 months now and turn down by over a dozen employers. I feel like a felon.

don't trucking an delivery services check for driving background check? what if you are a felon with violent charges AND two DUI's ? I personally love driving and was able to be a pizza delivery guy with only one DUI and no felonies yet.....can't drive just yet, but I am nervous they want a clean driving record. -Only reason pizz ahut hired me is bc I was honest with them and the guy who was my manager was a felon himself, the new guy that replaced him tried to fire me once he foudn out and I had already been working there for 6 months. he didn't win but then I lost my license eventually due to the second DUI. Been clean since 2020.
Totally depends on many factors. Make sure the next time you have fun, get an Uber. One is taken much more lightly than multiple. Mainly bc it causes the companies liability insurance to increase for a mi of 3 years. Reach out to the guy who initially hired you & see if he’ll hire you at his new place. That’s a great way to use your network.

What’s your failing to tell people is you because of California state law you will be hired before the background check is actually completed and once that’s completed and it comes back as a felony you will not have that job any longer so don’t get excited too fast people you’ll get the job, but once they run the background, there is no more job and that’s just reality coming from California
Please do us all a favor, start your channel where you can add to enlightening others. Thank goodness I do not have felonies, but if more of us who are educated in this area can help others by sharing more info and resources, instead of battling back and forth (this is your second comment), then the world would be a better place.
I have a question? Say if a company initially revokes your job offer because of a past criminal charge. Now would you be able to reapply to the same company after you get your record expunged or do they automatically put you on “Do Not Hired List?”
You took the words out of my mouth. Only difference is every company has their own time limit on it. Some will hire you right after the expungement. Others will make you wait a year.
Cannot get an independent contractors license if you have a felony, I’m sorry, but it does not work like that. You are feeding these people lies. I am from a construction background this I know for a fact.
I'm sorry you haven't or isn't aware of that opportunity, but I know MANY on very personal basis. Perhaps its different by state or type of work but my goal is to NEVER LIE! Too much work into running a youtube channel to be spitting lies for no reason.🤷🏽♀️
