To all the little smart arses bragging about their grades and shitting on others who got similar grades GCSEs are not as important as teachers say they are, obviously you should try your hardest but realistically the grades don’t mean that much numbers or letters don’t define how smart you are your knowledge does getting all nines or A’s does not make you a genius because GCSEs are only for college which is very easy to get in to you’re not Elon Musk you’re just good at getting things down and I know you think you sound all high and mighty when bragging about your good grades but honestly you sound like a mong keep this in mind

@@aaronmoefoe i have a question as someone who is going to college this year, did you do anything after gcses to go to college or did you just go immedietly after gcse?
@@ahmedabdelmagid890 I went to a gateway college which is where you do your GCSE’s again and also do some work experience and life skills, I’ve nearly finished it now which means in September I’ll be in a regular college and start doing my course, however some people who did courses like construction where it’s mainly work experience just went straight to normal college so I guess it depends on what course you do
Got my gcse results about 7 years ago and they go as follows. Maths: 1 English: 2 Media: Pass ICT: U Product design: Merit Physics: 1 Chemistry: 2 Biology: 2 Geography: 2 Mate I did absolutely fine, i now have a job that’s pays my way, and am taking further education in my field. These results did not define me, but did make the path harder. You’ve got to persevere and work hard from this point. I chose to fuck around, Drink, Smoke, Drugs and overall be a shitty student in school. I had to pay a small price for all of this. It meant success came harder to find. But it was not the end.
It’s not the end bro. If I was you, get any apprenticeship you can and earn that money. Tbh you could be making more money than many who get 9’s. No joke
@@dinger8487 Ya back then it was no equation sheet but a 1 is absolutely diabolical like I don't think me with 0 revision, 10% blood alcohol and being higher than the shard would possibly get me a 1 like that is actually ridiculous 😭😭
i mean, coming from someone who did shit in AS, GCSE's dont matter at all, but it says more about ur lack of effort and mentality that really doesnt sit right with a lot of ppl. people dont look down on you if you failed, people look down on you if you failed because you didnt put any effort in or try in any capacity. this should be something u take forward with you and use to shape urself into a better person.
I came across your video post. I very, very rarely post an opinion on the web but, in your case, *don’t despair.* Academic results are not *the end* of the road, they are just *a* road. There are different routes you can choose. The route you take has more to do with your motivation, interest, patience and vision. If you don’t consider yourself academic then look at apprenticeships in your favoured career areas. But, maybe, at this stage, there are three key areas to focus on - the first two are that you should endeavour to improve your skills in Social Arithmetic (a subset of maths) and Social Communication (a subset of English) - which will help you in later stages of life - and thirdly - finding your passion? Be realistic in your expectations with your current levels of knowledge and skill. We can’t all be superstars, RU-vid or otherwise, but we can all succeed in our way. Investigate what *experiences* (not necessarily academic) you need to progress your passion as a career. You’ve asked for content ideas for your channel. You’ve mentioned you are autistic. So this is an aspect of your personality that is you. I don’t know how autism affects your experiences in life. I know very little about the condition. So, perhaps, this could be a topic of your channel. *You have a story to tell - how my autism affects my daily life experiences*: learning, working, socialising, employment opportunities, support services you receive, the discrimination you may experience due to lack of understanding. A topic that will last for a lifetime - so endless opportunities to create content. You’ll need to teach yourself how to structure your ten-minute videos so they a less random and more focused - use the story-board techniques used by gaming developers, and film and television producers - Google it. You have access to computers at school, the public library, and even your mobile telephone. Everyone has a story to tell but a good story starts in its planning. You could start with a short title, structure your story with an introduction, highlight a key point or two, and conclude whether good, bad or hopeful - all conveyed within 10 minutes. But that might take more than 10 minutes to plan! (Ask your English teachers to help you with structuring your content or message.) You could start with “Autism and Me”: explaining to your audience- what is autism in general, what is your autism, and how was it diagnosed - what tests were performed, what types of tests, whether there is a standard test - and conclude if it is a spectrum. Then you could explore how autism affects you and your family “My Family and My Autism” How do you, your family and your friends cope in a variety of situations (e.g., shopping, household chores/routines/non-routines, social gatherings), how do they help you, and how do you help them understand, then conclude how to bridge the gap. You could follow this up with “Educating Autistic Me” What are your learning experiences and frustrations, how and whether your learning needs are being met; then conclude can the gap be bridged using state vs voluntary support services and do these exist? There is so much you could gain from the experience of putting together such content that can demonstrate abilities and skills you do not realise you have and which can be a substitute for or replace qualifications. Planning, research, scripting, editing, sound, lighting, producing and interviewing are just some of the skill areas you could develop. And - you’ve already started to use these skill sets. Amazing!
hi boss quick heads up as a british 16 year old y11 your GCSE results are pretty important and you cant do very much with a U in everything for his collage choice he will need at least 4 GCSEs and im pressuming he is currently resitting maths and english but he definitly hasnt passed the since he got a 1 and a U so dont Yap boss man he is done. He though the capital F in combined science stands for Physics Correct me if im wrong do you spell its PHysics or Fysics ?
@@Shedcast_the F stands for foundation, which means the max grade possible is like a 5? Its made to be much easier than Higher which can go up to a 9. confusing that he didn’t know that since usually you at least know what exams your taking, if he doesn’t know that then its clear he doesn’t listen in class. If you dont put in the effort of course you will not get the results. Fuming how people who try so little get bunched in with people like my sister who genuinely tried but failed maths because she just cant do it (but got 9 in english so shes sorted really).

Getting my results this august, only got a week and a couple days till im done. Watching vids like this to reassure myself im not the only one failing these 😂
In my mocks i only passed english language, doing my gcse’s atm To everyone else who is doing there gcse atm, keep revising as much as you can and try your best in the exams. If you put in the effort and know you did your best, the results don’t matter

I failed my results 6 years ago and to this day I got a really good paid job. Qualifications don't define your future but having no capacity or personality you're going nowhere.
I’m stressing about my GCSE’s I’ve got autism as well and I’m in bottom set in everything. I’m predicted to fail everything. Tbf your pinned comment is right, only reason I'm trying to do well in GCSE's is because I actually enjoy my subjects, especially maths, and I need an 8 to do it in 6 form, so for me it's kinda like checkpoints in a marathon that I have to go through for the final prize
Really sorry about your grades. I hope you’re feeling better after a year. I can tell you for a fact that your GCSE results do not determine your life trajectory. Plenty of people I know are doing well without them. I rarely have ever experienced job interviews where they ask for your GCSE grades. A little trick is that employers will rarely ever verify your grades so you can just fib a little and you can get away with it. GCSEs rarely matter to employers and only matter more if you’re going into further education. I can tell you that what employers look for is experience and GCSE’s do not really enhance that, it’s by volunteering or if you’re lucky finding jobs to enhance said experience.

GCSE's arent that important in terms of usefulness of knowledge, but they give schools a sense of your ability to handle rigorous syllabus of further education. Still so many people don't do so well in GCSE's and still end up doing well in life. It's not as important for the reasons your teachers tell you, but by all means do your best to do well in it if at all.
