"The Most Beautiful Boy In The World" opens in NYC, LA and the Bay Area September 24th.
"The absorbing rags-to-riches-to-rags story - a must for any classic film fan - is told in “The Most Beautiful Boy in the World,” directed by Kristina Lindström and Kristian Petri. The title is based on what Visconti called Andrésen, and the documentary explores the fleeting nature of fame and youth, and the subjective obsession of beauty and the folly of infatuation."

Is this woman qualified to read Björn's mind? I don't think so. Why not ask B. what was going through his mind? Then I'll read his mind, too! He's thinking, "They're spending a lot of time with me. I think I have a good shot at getting the part. Maybe I'll be famous. I won't let them down."

well she knows bjorn and even if you dont know him you can clearly see how hes not comfortable doing this, it all was because his grandma wanted a famous grandchild

@@nti8299 The grandma may have aspired to be famous. Or she hoped her daughter would be famous, who died mysteriously. And if not, because she died, then her grandson would be famous. You are conveniently forgetting that B. was already in a teenage Swedish film the year before. He had been through the casting process, although in a supporting role. He did not innocently drop down from heaven for the Visconti interview. Try to keep some perspective! Björn understood that the more time the world famous director/filmmaker spent with him, the better his chances were to get the role. Quit whining that B. was uncomfortable and afraid and exploited. He is modest and shy by nature; that's all. He knew that he was in the running for the part by the amount of Visconti's attention and favorable comments, so he gave him what he asked for in poses and smiles. I am tired of all this "Poor innocent Björn and that wicked Visconti" garbage. This is not what happened. "Death In Venice" gave Björn immortality, and I'm glad it did, and the world would NEVER have ever heard of him otherwise. I have a channel on YT in honor of both Björn Andrésen and this masterpiece film, "Death In Venice." I very much want to see this documentary for the archival information, but I reject the notion that Visconti and "DIV" and Granny ruined B.'s life. He had the pre-eminent role in that by his own doing, and his greatest personal flaw is that he doesn't know that, or doesn't acknowledge it.
