Again Soprano Notes, oozing talent. With all due respect to other reactions, listening to their take on performances is like drinking a lousy cheap watered down gas station cup of hot chocolate. something you want to get you through the last hour of your night/drive. You, YOU on the other hand , listening to you is like sipping down silky smooth rich hot chocolate with all the toppings you can imagine (with a few blissful surprises with ever sip) while watching the first snow flasks settle on the ground. Well I'd say there's maybe five that can meaningfully dissect a performance in depth. Some are more focused on voice technicals. Some on expressive choices. But no one spontaneously erupts in joy quite like Jess🤘

The lateral and vertical distinction for the foramen I'm guessing relates to the mandible/maxilla (after googling)? The fact you go to the extent of discussing bright/darker tones as well is gold for a layperson who enjoys music. Minimal work due to adequate education makes our lives easier; fantastic, insightful, you have a sub.

I like that in your reaction you talk not only about the singer's technique, but also about the interpretation, rhythm, music composition and lyrics. I'm a Faouzia's fan and watched a lot of reactions on RU-vid and therefore want to mention two additional things. The first remark was made by Temple Music Academy about Faouzia in the acoustic version of 'This Mountains' is that she sings the same word differently twice. The first time she sings with his mouth as if she is smiling (as you said the voice is sharper and brighter then) and the second time with his jaw lowered in a more relaxed position. This could mean that Faouzia is looking for the right sound, or maybe despite her young age, she is conscious enough to know how to tell her lyrics. The second remark made by Lewis Texidor about Faouzia in the official video 'The Road' is that she have heard in pop for the first time in ten years a song that does not need extra harmonies, or extra vocal layers or other things, because her voice is enough.

I randomly watched this video when searching for other versions of Elon and must say I was surprised at how much I enjoyed watching Faouzia sing "with you". Your deeply personal reactions to the music were surprising and mind-opening to me...you seem to feel it so much more than I ever considered possible...probably because I have no knowledge of the technical aspects of singing and have underappreciated them!
