Dan has gave me a new found understanding of how much diction and pronunciation can change a performance. I used to listen to a lot more typical mainstream sort of rock/metal. Once i started listening to dan i can't hardly listen to anything other than him and other great metal singers that can actually sing. Bruce Dickinson (iron maiden) rob halford(judas priest) eric adams (Manowar) to mention a few of the greats. Dan is basically a metal version of Dimash IMO, a lot of range styles and tones.

Another wonderful analysis of Dan Vasc's vocal skills. Dan claims that he doesn't have talent, but that he is skilled through years of hard work. You need to listen to 'I'll Make a Man out of You.' Disney never sounded so good. Also he sings 'Time to Say Goodbye' with Rhen Stillnight. The outro on his channel he talks about listening to Opera with his father. For something completely different 'The Last Goodbye' from the Hobbit or either of Dan's Elvis covers.

I'd love to see you react to Dan's cover of Song of the White Wolf. That one seems to be overlooked by reactors, and I'm not sure why. The beginning is very different from his other covers, and I'm interested to know what you think about it.

He almost always his songs, sometimes subtly and sometimes spectacularly. Probably the most impressive example is Amazing Grace, where each of the six sections builds - not to mention that he sounds like three different guys. Dan’s not called The Man with a Thousand Voices for nothing. 😊 There are lots of terrific recommendations here. I’ll second Burn Butcher Burn (the best scream you will ever hear, musical and in tune), Song of the White Wolf, and the metal version of Priscilla’s Song (all fabulous Witcher songs, and all very different). The Music of the Night and Gethsemane, for sure - sung straight, not metalized, and the same for folksongs like Loch Lomond and Scarborough Fair. Metalized versions of songs like Adele’s Rolling in the Deep or Seal’s A Kiss from a Rose (duet with Violet Orlandi) are terrific, and you won’t believe what he does with Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On. I really enjoy your analysis. I’ve been a classical music and opera fan (with many live experiences) for most of my life, and am a voice junkie. - most of my past addictions have been to operatic tenors, with the occasional exception for a singer like Freddie Mercury. I have been blown away by Dan since the first time I heard him - a gorgeous voice, a range of just under four octaves, unbelievable breath control, deep expressiveness, command of multiple vocal styles and techniques, and power and charisma off the charts. I’m looking forward to your continuing journey with the phenomenal Dan. 🎶
