With the Irish government’s proposed improvements to the railways, I’d love to see them opening up the Kingscourt to Navan freight line as a dual purpose heritage line for special trains down to Dublin Connolly - and I’d love to see them reopening the Mullingar to Athlone line to passenger services and/or heritage traffic

Hello Nathan, this was great to see a thanks for making this video. Some years back I was a volunteer at a railway in Kent and I did some stints in the signal box. It isn't as easy as some may think, but can be accomplished well and enjoyable too if left to it and with no distractions. You've reminded me some great memories- thank you. Have a lovely evening.

Hi , glad you liked it and I’m sure it did bring some bits back . It’s a very difficult skill and job on the railway , which many don’t see and understand . But nether less a great fun duty . Have a good evening to !

Yeah it used to control a massive good yard , of which now is just a housing estate

Hi Nathan. I loved this video 👌. I work in the signal box at my heritage railway too. Rather a different box in terms of operational perspective, but of course many of the basics are alike in all boxes 👍 I'd love to work somewhere like this someday... We shall see! Stay safe mate, kind regards GWR

Ruined a perfectly good instructional video by using irrelevant garbage background music instead of narration. You may as well have used the Spice Girls _"If you Want to Be My Lover"_ playing in the background and it would have been just as relevant.

@@AmeryJunction Hi nathan, that would be great. After lockdown, we'll have to arrange something then. I'm in East Sussex and epping isnt to far from where i live. Its about an 1 hour and a bit drive. Jack
