My grandfather saved 3 Sikh families in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh and I am really proud of him. Sikh people are some of the most caring people in the world, I visited Punjab in November 2019 and it's probably one of the best and most memorable trip of my life. During that trip I didn't had to spend a single penny on food because everyday I ate food in Gurudwara and I will say that the food that was served in langar were more delicious than any restaurant.

Being born in 1984..Im proud to be a Sikh and i love all indians!!! history could of been different!!

Sikhs are legendary for their humanitarian spirit. During 2021 Corona pandemic, Sikh Sardar volunteers were the first to provide food donations . And never to be forgotten: free funeral rituals for thousands of dead (infected by virus) whose corpse even their family did not want to touch. Sikhs were the first volunteers to provide free food to homeless victims during Nepal's 2015 earthquake. Sikhs are very generous people. They providec delicious langar meals , lovingly prepared by Sikh schoolgirls , to visitors from all faiths in their Gurudwara. Their generosity is praiseworthy. Sikhs are very courageous people. Their valour and sacrifice in the line of military duty is legendary. Sikh warriors defeated invaders coming down from the Khyber pass. Sikh bravery was witnessed in Jullianwallah Bagh, 1947 partition, 1971 war with Pakistan and 1999 Kargil war . Their bravery is praiseworthy. Sikhs are very open minded people. Straight forward and truthful, their blunt way of speaking puts them in hot waters occasionally, but that is also a sign of uncompromising sincerity. In a land full of double standards and hypocrisy, their moral integrity is praiseworthy. Sikhs are very jovial and fun loving people. In a land lacking sense of humour , their ability to laugh at their own charicature is praiseworthy. Salute ❗

My mom tells me stories of how people survived in Jharkhand when this riot happended. She and her whole family locked themselves in house for many days. Her uncle spent 2 days hiding in a sewage pipe .Another stories she shares is that a sikh women in neigbours locked herself and her family in bathroom when whole crowd of 100 people rushed towards them, she thought that she'll anyways die therefore she carried her sword( kirpan) and came out of bathroom to fight with crowd but the crowd got scared and ran back.

The fact is there are different perspectives by many different groups, parties, Govt on Sikhs and about the incident. Cannot catch hold of the real Truth. But nevertheless the Sikhs are known for valvory and braveness. We love Sikhs among us. Let all pain be relieved and harmony prevail.

I am Hindu from Hyderabad, Telangana. I have huge respect for Guru Nanak ji, Sikhs. There is one Gurudwara in Secunderabad. I go from that road to my office. As i reach near Gurudwara i remove my slippers and offer pranams to Gurudwara and Guru Nanak ji as i do when i see a temple. I wonder why such millitary action was done in such a holy place like Golden Temple??

I was fine with Sikhs when I was in India. But the hate that I see in Sikhs towards Hindus and towards India in the US is crazy. Every year during the Indian independence day parade in Fremont, California, hundreds of Sikhs show up chanting abuses at India. Indians in the parade will try to pacify them by chanting stuff like "Bhagat Singh Amar Rahe" but it makes no difference to the Sikhs. And every year they take pleasure in publicly burn the Indian flag and stomp on it. I have NEVER SEEN a single Sikh person in that crowd standing up against the flag burning or supporting India. It is not possible that every single Sikh person in the US is a Khalistan supporter. So why don't non-Khalistan Sikhs stand up for India? Frankly, after seeing this happen every year, I am unable to meet Sikh people without wondering if they are Khalistani.

It was the bravery of these 200 fighters that faced down the Army. More then 2000 officers & soldiers were killed and thus finally tanks had to be brought in as infantry & commandos could not make any progress.

My maternal grandfather saved one such sikh family. During 1984 riot my grandfather have to shave the head of that sikh person in purpose to save him. I know it's not right but he didn't have any choice. Later they become like family. My mother ties rakhi to the only son of that sikh. My mother has sickle cell anaemia ss pattern and my father is a BSF officer. One night why mother fell extremely ill and was suffering from excruciating pain and I was alone with my mom and of age around 11 years. I went to that sikh uncle house and shouted from the gate for help but no one answered then I have thrown stones in their window now this thing worked. The uncle came and I told him the condition. His hairs were open as he was not wearing a turban and he was wearing pyjama and inner vest only. He came with me as such only and we lifted my mom and put her in his car and uncle drove us to the hospital. I am very grateful for that...
