Another fantastic box. We can’t send the menstrual pads in boxes from Australia and New Zealand. I think the next best thing is a sewing kit and a piece of flannel fabric and maybe they could make their own. I read that generally they are just made of scrap fabric. I also found a jewellery box for $2 this year so it has matching friend bracelets and a selection of hair ties and clips.
I love this sweet shoebox filled with love. The combination of items are going to be cherished by the girl who receives them and she is sure to be surprised wrapped in your love and I pray that she embraces God's Love! Truly lovely!
Ok so I liked started tearing up when u showed and played that jewellery box, how beautiful!!!! And then I was laughing when you were trying to show the stuff in it, talking over it 😂 it made me smile when u said everyone uses bigger boxes cos well yep I stretch mine to be bigger(do not recommend, many have broken lol, but it’s hard to find those here for good quality and price). This is an amazing box Christy, so special.
What a great box! Some girl will be thrilled and know they are loved! Thanks to Michelle for the pictorial for sanitary kits. Im working on 40 kits. I appreciate all your work and sharing.
Here's the link for the reusable menstrual pads on our website blessingsinashoebox.com The direct link is www.blessingsinashoebox.com/uploads/9/4/1/5/9415693/blessings_in_a_shoebox_reusable_menstrual_pads_tutorial.pdf
Mrs. Christy, I love princess theme, there is so much that you can do with it. The jewelry box, oh my goodness!! You got that at wal-mart? I'm really wanting to make pads for girls for next year so instructions on how to make them will be so helpful. Where did you get the bags that you put the pads in again?? My favorite item besides the amazing jewelry box is that backpack!! So cute!!
Melanie Vogt, Michelle is very very close to having the tutorial for the menstrual pads on our web site. 😊 I got the jewelry box at Walgreens after Christmas sale. The wet bags I found that are cheapest and best are on Amazon. I get a link for you. The backpack sewing directions are on our web site. Www.blessingsinashoebox.com. I’ll get back on here with the link.
jrapin2008 thank you for suggesting that. I’ll keep it in mind. I think the jewelry box is kind of delicate for a younger girl because of the winding mechanism. I thought an older girl would appreciate it more.
Considering the items included (the jewelry box, the reusable menstrual pads, the type of jewelry, the clothing) I would keep it for a 10-14 year old girl. Older girls can easily identify with the Disney princesses since they range inn age from 14-19. You always put so much thought and care into you shoeboxes. Thank you for sharing. "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16
Crem'e Vannila I hope so. I’m not able to access that information. But I think they usually do. You got one this year, right? So you’re wondering about next year?
