Season 6 Episode 18: In June 1985, a Lebanese terrorist and his four accomplices hijacked Royal Jordanian Flight 405 shortly before take off in Beirut. Several American citizens were on board. The FBI opened a criminal investigation and worked with various other government agencies to form Operation Goldenrod, a task force charged with bringing the terrorist mastermind to justice.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

Fawaz Younis (who was strangely not named in this episode) for some reason only served 16 years of his 30 year sentence before being released and deported back to Lebanon. He has basically since dropped off the face of the earth and as far as I know none of the other hijackers were ever apprehended.

Back before federal parole was abolished (and the abolition (for ex post facto reasons) was not retroactive), federal prisoners only had to serve 33 percent of their sentence before being considered for parole. In such cases when it involved a foreign national, standard practice would be to parole them and then deport them.

I watched RU-vid and anything from the phone, to TV by the Wi-Fi Similar to Anycast. In fact it is direct projection from my phone to Miracast turned on to the HDMI input,one of two which exists. Even though, my TV isn't smart 📺. One thing that bothers me is that the Miracast is not of some quality. But it works now almost year and eight months. For the price less than $20.

So if the US wants the public to think they did all this to bring justice....right 99% was to make a political statement and help politicans. 1% to get the guy. Interesting how they didn't say how much all this cost. Spend probably 10s of millions of dollars to bring this guy and to put the witnesses in protection for what - some guy who hijacked a plane didnt kill anyone and left the terrorist group? Jeezz they could have spent all that to help the thousands of civilians in Lebanon or the many in the US in poverty.
