Mine get here Wednesday and I'm really looking forward to them. The 1/18 Eagle Force figures are great and the Naughty or Nice Santas came out really good too. So I have high expectations for these and I know they won't disappoint. Looking forward to bashing some Valaverse and Classified parts with these figures. Picked up a couple extra Van Helsing to create some new agents.
I picked him up and the Sleepwalker Heavy Weapons. The paint apps on these are so good and the scale seems perfect for the weapons. Monstrous characters with military gear is really up my alley.
This line looks great. It's outside my wheelhouse since I have no interest in monsters, but I can not deny how cool it is. I only collect GI Joe (vintage ARAH and Classified), not that I don't like other stuff, I just don't like it enough to spend money on. Lol! If I did expand my collecting, this would be one line I'd ad. I love the way they did the modular plate carrier. The one thing that has made that so hard to do on toys, is we are limited on just how thin they can make plastic. As a result, the GI Joe modular vest was too bulky. Even the Valaverse plate carriers, which are the best, have those magazine pouches that are too bulky. The way the Fresh Monkey team designed this vest is ingenious. By sandwiching the magazines or handgun between the vest and the removable panels, they were able to make it a lot less bulky. I hope other companies pay attention to that.
i brought these for my son and husband and they love them! Maybe because i enjoy this hobby too i would like 1/12 female figure that don’t look too man-ish
To add to my comment i wish we had Joytoy style female soldiers and spec ops 1/12 figures. I do like valaverse female figures but they look kinda well you know! I’m Japanese/Korean yes my avatar is my picture and Joytoy did have figures that look like me but they’re pricey also take time to travel. I’m by no means a feminist i just want beautiful and cute action figures. I know you gentlemen like them too! At least Classified has characters that do look cute and beautiful!
These look fantastic! I didn't grab any of the modern looking guys, but I did get The Forgotten King and the three different Sleepwalkers (two of the red one). I'm doing a sort of Weird WW2/Lovecraftian Horror vs the BPRD/Creature Commandos thing with mine. All eldritch and freaky. The leader of the "good" guys is going to The Donner Party when we get him next year (I'm really looking forward to all the Crimson Moon stuff). Can't wait to get mine in hand.
The modular design seems very well thought out. While I am not necessarily interesred in the "monster" aspects of this line, from what I have seen, by using the alternate heads, you can "hide" the monster aspect of them (if that makes sense). Will wait for these to, hopefully, go on sale some day. Love your review style. No fluff, lots of substance.
