Operation Smile Mission - Nicaragua

Bringing you behind the scenes of what Day 1, Triage Day, looks like for families bringing their children to an Operation Smile Mission. A typical Operation Smile mission help provide surgical care to children born with cleft-lips and cleft-palates by pulling together a large medical professionals (surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, paediatricians, dentists and others) from around the world who volunteer their time.
This video highlights Day 1, or Triage Day, of a mission in Nicaragua.
Aside from performing a high volume of surgeries in the span of a few days, Operation Smile also has centres around the world to help provide ongoing care and support for families.
