Check out MRS America on how the pregnant gals do it lol. Mostly a lot of previous pageant and pregnancy experience helps to win. Personally, I think it would only work if your platform would revolve around pregnancy or postpartum; MRS. UNITED STATES - 2020. Just from experience, it's really really hard lol. I mostly like it because let's say it's an unplanned pregnancy; you don't lose your crown or chance to compete.

Buddy Is saying it's filmmakers duty to tell everyone how to think. When I garuntee he doesnt know enough to be lecturing anyone. He has too much ego to learn anything, even if he wanted to. Unfortunately, that's how most "filmmakers" think, and the result is everything being completely unwatchable. Even the fishing practices he mentions, I bet he doesn't understand herring roe fisheries and lower food chain damage. Let alone the whole climate of the earth on a grand scale. Even if he knew something, ide prefer if "filmmakers" could just present the information neutrally. If it's so black and white he shouldn't need to make it some kinda teaching moment

In the Western World (and woke countries) like Canada, pageantry is looked at as an old fashion and a degrading organisation. This is the main reason why companies like the fashion industry does not support pageantry in counties like Canada, USA, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and majority of countries in Europe.
@vicferger
@vicferger Месяц назад
Why pageants don't attract the new generations of women? There are a lot of girls participating in pageants in Western Europe and North America
@lilpenny1982
@lilpenny1982 Месяц назад
@vicferger Pageants are loathe and irrelevant in those areas. Perfect example is American companies no longer want to own Miss Universe

I support the changes in Miss Universe. I know that the age limit remove is controversial, but I think that the new women's generations give a critical view about "beauty pageants".

I agree 100% but I disagree about her point of view of MGI. This minor pageant is a cooking show and has so many controversies (e.g. sexual assaults, food poisoning, fake faints, etc.) over the years.

I like her a lot and was rooting for her to win or get into top 3. She is referring to Carolina Indriiago, the first winner of MV of color in 1999, who competed with Ms Phils. and MU 1st runner-up Miriam Quiambao in Trinidad and Tobago., the best MU edition in my book.

I love this. I love both of these women. Keysi gave me a better understanding of why pageantry is the way it is in Venezuela, and an appreciation for the strength and mental fortitude that Venezuelan women must possess to be able to do very well in the pageant industry. Lauren, I have missed hearing your voice and listening to your thoughts. Please do more of these kinds of interviews--with women in STEM especially.

I learned that of all the Canadians with a STEM degree, 34% are women. Canadian women in STEM have come a long way, perhaps inspired in part or in whole by the great Elsie MacGill. I would love to hear stories about these amazing women in STEM like you, who are paving the way for girls who might one day wish to foray into a field so historically dominated by men. I think the world needs to hear more stories about women empowering other women, whether it be in pageantry, entertainment, governance, and especially in STEM. Thank you so much, Lauren. More power to you and to your channel. 💗
