We feel like this video is pseudo famous at this point, and as far as we can tell no one has confirmed whether or not it is in fact CAG - However, we sat Randy down and showed it to him to get his feedback. Had you see n this video before? Are you running CQB at light speed too?

This was truly CAG. Matt Pranka was the point man and has done a video breakdown of it.

I like that you respect the NDA and didn't get into the weeds with this exercise, but pointed out the principle of reading the point man when it's this kind of non-procedural CQB. Also, its interesting how immediate blind entry is still the only real way to do an emergency rescue; can't waste even a second for a deliberate entry when the hostage is about to be shot. HR seems like grim stuff.

I don't believe the NDA should be a concern when speaking to the validity of a 'unit' running training / smashing face real time. I too enjoy his videos for the straight forward no filler approach. Even if some don't. I would however would have liked to see him speak more towards the mindset/mentality/ critical thinking process slightly deeper. He spoke a little about it when he mentioned the number 2 being close. I guess for me, my opinion only. Not above nor below. I would like to see Landing on X = Small unit cmdr thinks of this while approaching. Benefits of speed vs security and how they're fluid. Not fixed Importance of communication within the team to ensure economy of effort. He's really been making some leaps in quality and content delivering which suggests he reads the comments. Great content all and all

@@succulentP the mindset and mentality is built from Doing hard shit and putting in the work. It’s from building your skills not to perform a scenario but the idea that your shooting skills are so over developed that you don’t have to think about how to shoot. Not saying just wing it and don’t aim cause it’s close like most people but instead truly become a master at your craft. That allows you to use your brain for the rest of what’s going on a developing a tru confidence that you can handle whatever is happening instead of planning for what if.

What's your opinion on GWOT-era CQB tactics (both early, around Fallujah and late, around US pullout) put in application of pretty much near peer threats or even more modern circumstances? Namely of course, Israel vs. Hamas and Ukraine vs. Russia I'm mostly talking about Israel because they've been fighting in said cramped spaces for a while and bodycam footage shows things like shooting into supposed corners, people pieing corners and the entire room (not just the hallway) getting absolutely shredded with gunfire and explosives A lot of the speed and violence of action displays we see on footage like this and the like seem to be dropped for things more reminiscent of Fallujah (e.g Marine doctrine of clearing with Frags)

When guys are less trained and more people that aren’t selected like a tier 1 unit process they still need to perform. What you’ll see is tactics that are changed because of that. Also tactics are driven from experience ,the threat they’re facing,past operations /engagements,what the have to use as assets and the combat space they will be operating in. When it comes to Ukraine you have MOUT,CQB & trench warfare on top of artillery tech etc.. isreal mostly MOUT and CQB. The Israelis I’ve worked with extensively and could speak to what they do more than Ukrainians. I wasn’t doing much trench stuff… but the same principles apply. Being able to shoot where it matters when it matters is how a threat is put down regardless of tactics. That’s why the shooting skills need to be overdeveloped. The Israelis have mostly ballistic walls in Gaza so they do a lot of what i would call fucking around in the fatal funnel. Those tactics are mostly done by their non tier 1 units. The Israelis are proud people that call a lot of units “special”. Similar to the U.S guys from everywhere think they are the best at what they do. Like this video reality sets in when you see what the pros do.

@@kojoe6984 Please write a book to me lol, I wanna save this on my notepad While I do agree with the case of the IDF fucking about, it does seem really odd to me that they would use asinine strategies considering how it's their livelihood, like they've grown up surrounded by city structures and have almost exclusively fought within an urban capacity (non-total war urban CQB), much in the similar case of how just like you said that tactics are driven by experience like how you wouldn't apply a GWOT veteran more acclimated to COIN into a trench warfare scenario unless it was in support of a person that is very familiar with TW, just shy of SOF units involved in a lot of DA on the US/Coalition side, I'd figure that the IDF would have a higher "base standard" for lack of better term Essentially while yeah, they would get probably beat out by SOF personnel that kick in doors for a living, wouldn't regular IDF forces still be at a higher level than most conventional forces in terms of that kind of urban combat (whether applied strategies are working or if it would take less time for them to adopt other strategies) I'm also moreso asking about the place of very popular methods of CQB that you see in just about every CQB tactics video in said conflicts where the enemy waiting behind the door is closer to a near-peer threat

@@cej3940 quick statement on the idf thing. Everyone’s experience is different. Some units have strong individuals others have not so strong individuals. Then add in the guns,kit etc.. and then theres funding. I think people are under the impression just like 20 years of gwot that everyone was hitting targets and getting after it. It’s just not the case. Yes Israel gets attacked a lot but vast majority is soecial ops hits. Those guys are at night under nods using what Americans use the way Americans use them. But majority of people including Israelis don’t see then or train like them

Watch the helmet cam footage of “The Italian Job” by A Sqdn in Iraq. It’s the same speed in realtime. No gimmick. Not airsoft. That’s how fast and efficient the Unit moves. Be critical but that’s the way The Varsity Team looks for those of you who have never seen it. It’s ok not to be at that standard because we have groups in the US that can do that and did that (and refined it) for over a decade of being in war.

@@aidenhempston3382 I wish us civilians could have simuntion, but we're not allowed to do anything too tacticool in Canada. When I go out to the bush to shoot we can't bring handguns but I bring an airsoft pistol to practice transitions between rifle and pistol. Almost got in trouble for that, should seen the look on the Conservation officers face when he went to clear my airsoft pistol. A shit sandwich he had to eat.

@kojoe6984
@kojoe6984 Месяц назад
@@jackglockstar bro I’m not even trying to be a Dick. Your issue is coming from zero experience. I’ve been having these discussions for atleast 3 years with guys like you. The same guys like you are those cops in that house. They don’t know what real CQB looks like. It was not staged. Those cops thought there was gonna be a stack on door ,panning pieing and thought for sure there would be a charge going off on door with guys entering from that main entrance. Instead a 240 pound operator that moves faster than anything you’ve ever seen (similar to a pro fighter vs a street fighter) and can deliver rounds faster and more accurate than you can imagine. It’s ok i kno you’ve been lied to about CQB your entire life but to think that these guys were told to stand there and get shot “for the gram” is just pure nonsense. This is exactly what it looks like when the fundamentals of cqb are performed by guys who do this for a living. especially with a UTM/Sim gun against cops. The disconnect comes from the hundred other companies “teaching” cqb to guys with ever actually doing it or limited time and experience.
